urgent help needed!!

Hey guys so I made a huge mistake the other day. I bought a pair of front springs from a WJ instead of a ZJ for the 2.5 lift. I didn't do it on purpose ( I confused them I thought that the wj came before the zj and made a big oops) ,my question is will they still work? I mean can I still use them to lift the jeep or am I going to have to try and resell them? PLEASE PLEASE HELP.

search Jeep forum for "junkyard lift" I just read the other day a huge write up about it. One guy particular post a lot of size specs and such. There might be a link to where he got some info.
OR
Search around for somewhere that has MOOG spring size/specs. Compare the WJ springs to the ZJ.... I think the ZJ MOOG P/N is CC782 or CC784....

ok I got interested in your plight, considering I've been thinking of doing the same thing. The short answer, I don't think so.

Using RockAuto and Moog there are different springs for WJ Limited or Laredo. Either way I cannot find size and specs on the WJ springs. I can find size and spec for the ZJ
Coil Spring Dimensions. From what I've found the WJ springs are linear and the ZJ are progressive.

ZJ spring. MOOG CC782
End 1- Tangential
End 2- Pig tail
I.D.- 4.04
Bar Dia. .578
Install Height- 15
Load 503
Spring Rate 146
Free Height 18.4

Check out wjieeps.com. They have tons of info on grand cherokees and it was my go to page when I had my 2002. Good luck.
