Used Lifts

Hey i am looking to buy a lift kit and i have been looking up used ones. they look alright a little bit of surface rust here and there. Do you think they would be good and reliable used? i can't see anything happening other then a broken shock? what do you think?

its almost impossible to judge that, springs lose their rebound with use but w/o actually installing them and trying them out it would be hard to tell just how dead they are. It probably wouldn't save you enough money to make it worth the risk. I'd say unless you know the person and know exactly how much they were used or you were getting it for free its probably best to avoid it. Besides a 2-3 inch lift doesn't have to cost a fortune

buying a used lift is by far the worst idea

missing parts, bad parts, broken parts

a lift is sold for a reason... most people toss em when installing a new one

and no jeep owner ever converts to stock before selling the jeep(I think its an unwritten rule)

The only way I would buy a used lift is if I know the owner or saw the Jeep just before removal!
