Question Used wrangler prices

I'm real close to buying an 05 or 06 Wrangler Unlimited and was wondering what anyone thinks of a asking price with reference to Kely Blue Book, NADA values in todays ecomomy. I know to never pay suggested retail value, but is anyone paying even private party values for used Wranglers on used car lots? The spread between trade in and full retail is usually over 6,000. If this were a new wrangler, it would be much more simple, since we all know what dealer invoices are.

i know that the dealership that i am working with is going below nada trade in value, and based on what my brothers get for there trade in estimates most of the time they go about 2,000 under the trade in value. Or they get it at an auction

You should be able to get a good deal on any wrangler with the price of gas being so high. the 05/06 ulimited's are nice vehicles and harder to find than a regular wranglers so you might have to pay more. I just bought a 00 wrangler TJ with the 4.0 with 134000 miles for $3500. Absolutely nothing wrong with it except the high miles and no rust! The deals are out there if your willing to look for them.

x2..nice deal.

I paid 13.5K for an '02 Wrangler Sport X w/42K miles 16 months ago. The used car lots are full of them today so it's a buyer's market.

Check out the wranglers on carmax.com. This will give you an idea of low retail value for different parts of the country. This dealership does not haggle over price. They post one low price and there are no negiotiating.

Yeah I got my Jeep from CarMax. Its an '05 4.0L 6-speed and when I got it it had 26,000 miles on it. Paid $15,500 for it. I'm sure you can find one for cheaper than that.

I hunted for mine and found two good ones on cardomain.com about 5 years ago. The good deals are out there, I missed a really nice 06 harley low rider for $500, yup Five hundred dollars, it was from a pissed off wife who found out her husband was cheating on her, she also sold his porsche 911 turbo for $500. If I had called 5 min earlier I would have had the harley. She wanted to know if I was interested in a 07 26 ft boston whaler for a grand with trailer. She wanted it all gone before he came back from a 'business trip' that his 'secretary' and he were on. You can find some good stuff on craigslist... especially from pissed off wives...
