V8 Swap

I was wondering how much it actually costs to swap a V8 into a wrangler and which engine and tranny have the best bang for the buck. It probably isn't something I'll be able to afford soon since I'm in college, but I think about it a lot.

it's pretty easy and probly the cheapest to find like a 302 from a wrecked mustang or something like that. what it will actually cost then for a rebuild and getting everything into the jeep, i can't help you with atm. it's in my future plans, it just isn't happening right now. i think jeepcrawler has a V8 he's building right now to go into his, he might provide some insight.

yeah, a 5.0 swap is something I am considering in the long run. My dad has a club wagon van with a 5.0 in it, and when he is done with it, I am going to strip it.

Advance adaptors is a good source of parts and info both.
Have used them a couple of times for conversions.
