very important question (not really)

so bought my TJ, and happy with it.
but i'm having an issue, my cooler does not fit in the back of the TJ.
so my question is.
what cooler can fit in the back of a TJ, with the rear seats in place?
Thank you.

Cooler Carrier

Here is how this jeeper carries his cooler(s), he just mounts his Thule Spare Tire Bike Rack upside down and straps them on.

I've seen some hitch mounted ones that can hold 500lbs

But if you don't have a hitch that's another expense. This is dual purpose.

Very true. However I wouldn't want to hang another 80lbs off of my tire carrier, and i already have a hitch

x2. i wouldn't hang that off my tire carrier/tailgate either. a hitch is far more useful...

here's my hitch rack:

You are correct. I will make the investment for a hitch if/when I need to carry coolers or other stuff on the back.

Get a soft sided one. We have one that holds 18.

Yup I've got a coors soft cooler that will hold 18 cans easily. My suggestion is to take measurements in the back and then go from there.

That's what I do. I have a soft cooler that holds enough for two people, all day in the hot sun, plus ice. It fits fairly snug, but not "real" snug between the tailgate & rear seat, so I can grab it and yank it out without having to open the tailgate every time.
