Hey guys! Have question in regards to the Viair 300P and 400P compressors. I have bald 33's and had a 300P compressor. Unfortunately it was stolen out of jeep a few months back. It had no problems filling my 33's from 4-5PSI to 25PSI in a reasonable amount of time, 2-3 mins. I will not be getting 33's but rather than 35's when i replace these. The 300P is 50 bucks less than the 400P, but the 400P is rated for 35's. Can I get away with the 300P and 35's?

Viair website has fill rates listed on it..

for example :
300P = 33" tire from 0-30psi is 5mins
400P = 33" tire from 0-30psi is 4mins

I am guessing the difference in time to fill a 35" tire would be great than a minute between the two.

If you are looking for a portable compressor you might check out the MV50. Super cheap compared to the Viair but a good little compressor.

Here is a link to some good compressor info :

When I went to 35s I opted for a 20lb CO2 tank instead of an electric compressor. Very fast, quiet and convenient. I can fill up over 40 tires on a single charge and going from 15 to 30 PSI on a 35 inch tire takes about a minute. Once you go to 35s it's worth taking a good look at this option.

bigger is better when it comes to pumping air. I have 400P and it was worth every penny of the $180 I paid for it.
