Vise Grips are your friend...

I finally got my front shocks done (Bilstein 5100's all around). For those who are asking 'what shock', you can't go wrong with them. My '03 X rides so much better! Now to find the money to replace my control arms...

I'm not sure why the PO put such short shocks on the front?



The front - with new shocks all around the wallow I've had going around corners seems to be reduced.



The rear...



I gotta' say this website is a great source of information!

cool, was anything wrong with your old shocks or did you just not like the ride? im interested in buying them if they are not broke. PM me if interested

The Bilsteins are 100% better - the ride has smoothed out considerably. The back shocks were totally blown, and I threw away the fronts.

Is the ride stiffer (crushes the spine) or balanced even when hitting speed bumps?

I put those Bilsteins on my 77 Bronco and loved them. Nice choice.
