Want to sell, don't know how much to ask for

After spending about a year and a half driving my TJ around I think i'm going to take a few years off of Jeeps and go back to small cars for awhile so I am going to sell this TJ, but don't know how much I should ask for. It's a 1997 with a 4.0L engine, hard top and soft top, hard top is showing its age, missing the driver's side vent and the interior light cover, but the wipers and rear defrost work. The interior otherwise is in need of TLC(which I plan on providing before selling if it will be worth my while), driver's side speaker is missing due to being chewed on by a dog(don't ask), dashboard was painted black a couple 5,000 miles ago and is getting scratched and needs to be either redone or removed somehow. Otherwise it's in nice shape. The body is full of rust, there's two very bad rust spots under both doors, the driver's side one has formed an inch diameter hole. Frame is also getting kinda rusty but hasnt formed any holes, body mounts are fine. Trans and engine are both great, it runs fine, shifts fine, but is a little picky about second gear. 4WD is screwy, see other thread I made. No other mechanical issues worth mentioning. ~125,000 miles on it so far. Tires are near to balding. I've been hoping to get 3500-4500 out of it, but what do you guys think? I can provide pics tomorrow.

How much should someone be willing to pay for a rusty 97 with bald tires, a bad dashboard, screwy 4wd, 125K miles and a chewed up speaker?

Does it come with a full tank of gas?

Picture worth $1000 words.

That is in fact the question.

To clarify though, the 4WD will be fixed, and I am looking into getting a new set of tires. Also I meant speaker *cover*, sorry. I am buying one of those as well, but I'm putting it off as the dealer wants 50 bucks for one :| . As I attempted to say in the OP, all of the issues minus the hard top and rust will be tackled before I sell it, when the snow clears up some. I would even try my hand at fixing the rust myself but I lack the skill, money, and time to do so.

Sure.

Pic is coming, but due to some braking issues I will be separated from it this week. Next weekend I might be able to snap a few.

back at my parents house, I drove one of their vehicles to my house so they could take the jeep to a mechanic, since I lack the time to do so during the week.

we dont answer threads from traitors

but realistically, you could get more like $5500 depending on where you are located. that would be closer to the upper limit of what it is worth
