Exclamation Warn front bumper HELP!!!

Anyone know if it is possible to put the warn grille guard on a warn bumper without having the winch mount? I saw a picture of a jeep without the winch mount and with the grille guard but the picture does not show me how it is possible. I found the picture on another forum. Do I just have to weld it on??? Please help with any information or instructions. Thanks.

The hoop bolts to the frame via the bumper's top four mounting bolts that pass through the bumper to the frame below. I don't think it would need the winch mounting plate that also through-bolts to the frame via those same four bolt locations.

If you don't have the Warn winch mount, you can simply weld the Warn grill guard to the top of the bumper. When you get a winch mount, just saw the grill guard off, grind the weld marks on the bumper flat, a spray of paint, and bolt he grill guard to the winch mount with the carriage bolts that come with the grill guard.

I did it that way a few years ago. Easy and no problems when adding the winch mount and winch.

You actually welded the grill guard to that thin sheet metal bumper? If so, I sure can't recommend doing so as the OE bumper's steel is just too thin to provide the support a grill guard should have... if it's actually going to guard anything that is.

That hoop should bolt to the frame via the same bolt holes that the top bumper mounting bolts pass through. Have you not yet held the hoop in position to see that for yourself?

Yes that Warn hoop bolts on, via the mounting location for the front bumper
