Warn M8000 mounting help

Just opened the box and I'm looking for a bracket to mount the control pack to the winch. Is there another bracket I need or is there a "better" way to mount it?
I have a 2001 Wrangler sport. Thanks

Look for the little L-shaped bracket, that is how it mounts to one of the bolts that thread into the support rods. Be careful not to overtighten that allen head bolt, it is threaded into aluminum and it can strip if you apply too much torque. It doesn't need to be gorilla-tight.

Thanks as always Jerry. They sent me the "T" bracket for mounting it high I think. No "L" bracket in the box. I think we are talking about #26368. As I read further the manual says I need to order the bracket if I want to mount it on the winch. Thought thats what I was ordering and ordered the cover to fit.

Did they send you two brackets or just one ? When I got mine they just sent the bracket for mounting the control box flat( with the plug pionting up ) & that's not the way I wanted to mount it. Which way are you wanting to mount it?

50Johnbob, check that link. Mounted low on the left side facing the jeep. I ordered the cover to fit it mounted like that.

Hey, that's the bracket they sent with mine, if I could remember what I did with it I'd send it to you, lol. I just didn't like it facing up so I ordered the other one.

I just got my M8000. Looks like the T-bracket supplied will span 2 of the support rods (will have to remove the allen bolts to mount the bracket). But there would not be room to clear the 4 thick power cables coming out the back of this box. Or I should be able to grind off one of the tabs and mount using a single allen bolt - looks similar to what 50Johnbob did in his pictures above, using the L-bracket. Don't see a need to order a separate L-bracket if I do this.

Will a signgle allen bolt be enough to support the bracket and control box - is that what's done with the L-bracket mounting?
