Anyone running the Warn 8274 winch? How about anyone running that setup on the smittybuilt XRC front bumper? Will it fit?...If anyone is running that winch, photos please, dimensions? Just curious if it will fit before I buy the winch...thanks

Warn's 8274 is an excellent top-of-the-line quality winch, you'll have a lot of admirers staring/drooling at it on the trail. It does, however, need a special 8274-only mounting plate as it has a slightly different mounting bolt pattern than all of the other winches do.

So long as your Smittybilt XRC does not have a built-in winch mount, and I don't believe it does, the 8274 mounting plate should bolt on top of it without issue. The winch mounting plate bolts only pass through the bumper to the frame below so it doesn't really matter what bumper you're running.

No Jerry your wrong it is garbage. Worst of the worst- Send it to me and I will throw it away for you .

I will even pay for shipping!

It is one of the bests out there. They run forever and have a ton of power enjoy it! I recommend synthetic rope too will help a lot with the weight on the front end.

What about a heavy duty alternator/spare battery? Will the stock 2004 TJ alternator handle the load that this monster puts out?

Even a heavy-duty alternator which some can pump out nearly 200 amps can't keep up with a winch that can draw well over 400 amps at full load. The only thing you really need is a good quality heavy-duty battery like the Sears Diehard Platinum which is the primary source of power for a winch. The alternator just slows down how fast the battery gets discharged which isn't an issue for most winching needs anyway.

Nope, not a word. I'm sure it's down in Mexico being used by either a drug cartel or crooked Mexican cop.
