Warning about Seat Risers!!!

If you have seat risers installed or are thinking about them here is a warning. The increase in seat height may allow your passenger seat to come in contact with the windshield resulting in this...

I heard some aftermarket seats can do the same thing. Just be careful when folding the seat forward. I learned this the hard way...

Well that sucks to say the least. Sure it can't be too difficult to fab up a jam/stop on the slider or where the seat tilts. Ounce of prevention is a pound of cure.

That sucks! Your windshield looks nice and clear too, unlike mine that pitted all over. Most insurances will replace it without raising your premium, might be worth a check.

Sorry you had to find that out the hard way. I do appreciate you for sharing as I am in the market for seat risers. I guess when I do it I will Macgyver something up to stop the seat from tumbling so far forward as stated in a earlier post. Or maybe some one has already come up with a fix.

Damn that sucks! Hopefully you have comprehensive insurance that will replace it cheap. Good heads up for those with risers. Never would have crossed my mind as a possibility.

That sucks!! At least the window isn't too pricey compared to other cars in case insurance doesn't cover it. it's still an expensive lesson to learn though...

Too bad the airbag didn't go off to save the windshield.
