Was Offered....

I recently upgraded to larger tires and had the 30 X 9.5 15 Goodyear GSA Wrangler stock tire left over. Its a brand new tire and I never used it!

I put it on craigslist for $75 the other day and got a call about it yesterday. The guy offered my $40 for the tire. I told him the tire originally sells for a lot more than that!

He did tell me if I didn't have a buyer, I could always give him a call back. What do you think I could get for it?

sell it to him and be happy with 40 bones. you might get an offer for 50 soon, or you'll never hear anyting on it again. loose tires are a very random thing, not much demand untill the right person needs one.

off the top of my head a discount tire store will sell that tire for around $90 new if one did enough shopping.

It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president."

x2. "Brand new" means to me, that not only doesn't it have any miles, but it's a fairly recent tire and it's not been mounted. Yeah, the mounting doesn't mean much, but a 2 year old tire is a 2 year old tire, mileage or no.

Take the forty.

Take the forty. I bought a new spare a couple of days ago, it was a 33-12.50 BFG TA Mudder with about 70% tread for $20. My spare was real bad.
Just getting to work is an adventure.

I did the same thing asking $50.00 and got it. But , I only had one response. I got lucky!

Let it go for $40.00 and be happy.
