water damage

hey guys. im new to the forums and i have a question for you all. i had a 97 tj sport that i loved and ended up selling. its been the only vehicle that i have regreted getting rid of and i am looking to replace it. i found a 99 sahara that looks like it has potential but the owner says the car has a rebuilt title due to water damage. he tells me it was never above the water line but that the electrical was all replaced and he has been driving it for the past few months. ive always been skeptical about water damage and rebuilt titles but the price is very appealing. need help guys, what do you think?

It shouldn't be all that complicated to fix anything IF anything negative happens.
I mean, It's a jeep, there's not much that can go wrong that is too hard to fix.
As long as the engine components are fine...the tj should be fine.

I don't think I personally would take a chance on it. I doubt every wire & connection was replaced & no telling if the water got into the axles, t-case, or transmission. Who knows, maybe it was flooded in the Katrina floods along the Gulf Coast & those often had salt water damage which pretty much turns most vehicles to toast.
