Water leak between door and rocker

Hi everyone, I'm new to the Jeep world and wranglerforum and was wondering if anyone has any expertise on a water leak between the pass side door and the rocker panel. Its an 03 "freedom edition" with a soft top. I bought it a week ago and it rained hard last night..safe to say i was pretty pissed waking up to a puddle on the passenger side carpet.
thanks in advance

Check the rubber seal on the bottom of the door. It may be missing or bunched up or something.

Is the tub bent at the door jamb? I assume that is where it is leaking, is under the door. Something is out of kilter in that area for it to leak. I've been in mine in water halfway up the door and stayed nice and dry inside.

As for lining it.... Yes, you should. I had a buddy spray mine with Raptor liner last fall and love it. It's not too expensive if you have a compressor and do it yourself... Takes a couple of days to prep, spray and let cure... Well worth it. I think the liner is less than $150 for more than enough for a TJ.

Ha only reason I thought to point out was I had a puddle also recently (well for a long time with the previous owner was clueless) it was the drip tube in the fire wall. It was missing the down spout so when I was driving it pushed the water back into the firewall and down into the floor board on the passenger side. Maybe that is something causing the issue maybe not.

I have the same problem .. Or at least I think! :-/ .. Everytime I clean the jeeps interior, I find water under the passenger sides floor mat. Is that a similar issue to what u had ??
