what am i going to need for a 4 inch lift

alright guys i need some info on what i will need for a 4 inch lift. im going with new coil springs instead of spacers because mine are a little saggy. i would like some shocks with adjustable stiffness. i am just curious will i need new drive shafts or anything else. i know i will need to extend my break lines but im not to sure on the rest. i have heard that my shifter might need some adjusting or it won't go into certain gears. i know there is a ton of people asking similar questions but its easier for me if i get specifics from people.

just so you know what im working with its a 03 tj sport 5 speed manual everything is stock except i recently bought some 31x10.5 general tire grabbers and i had to run wheel spacers they didn't really fit.

For a 4" lift to be done properly you'll need

  • Adjustable rear upper control arms (used to set pinion angle)
  • SYE if you don't have a Rubi
  • CV driveshaft
  • Adjustable trackbar for the front and preferably one on the back as well
  • CV Trackbar relocation bracket to keep your trackbar from contacting the gas tank.
  • extended front brake lines or relocate the stock ones
  • Wheels with the appropriate backspacing for your new bigger/fatter tires (3.5" - 4" backspacing.
I'm probably forgetting some stuff and I'm sure other will chime in soon.

Best of luck on your build

Wheel. Break/Test. Repair/Upgrade. Repeat
