What are these ???

I have no idea what Item A is.
Is this an OEM switch for something?

As for Item B, it looks like there is a 12V cigarette lighter outlet. But what is that smaller circular object to the upper right of the outlet?

I don't know about A but B is the passenger side air bag defeat key switch.

B) turns your passanger airbag on and off.

A) is not factory.

Is item A actually wired? If so, try tracing the wires. It's definitely not OEM.
Based on it's awkward yet obvious location, my guess would be a dome light defeat switch, for when the doors are off.

Not able to trace the wires.
I don't own a TJ yet.
But I am learning as much as I can about them. I was searching CG when I saw these two odd items on the console. So, I posted the questions here, figuring that the vast resources of our forum would probably know what they were.

I like going to the drive-in movie theater.
I like your idea of a "dome light defeat" switch. You could open the doors to get out, without having the dome light come on.

Or you can pull the #4 fuse from the glovebox, jeep put the fuse there so wrangler owners can pull the fuse when doorless. Factory alternative to all the people selling these "kits" to make sure your lights stay off when doorless
