what are these straps for?!

Between the passenger seat and the passenger door there are two velcro straps mounted to the floor, probably about 6 inches apart. what are these for? They are not on the driver's side. Its an 05 wrangler x, full doors and hard top. Thanks, couldn't find anything in the manual.

There is a jack and a tire iron behind the seat. There should also be a bag of tools that strap down with those straps under the passenger rocker, that contain rods to turn the jack.

The bag of stuff that the straps hold down.

With the passenger seat flipped forward, you should see the jack and tire iron here.

I don't see a picture here...
All I have in the bag are two rods or poles... not sure how to use them with the jack either.

I'm not sure if I used them correctly but I attached the 2 poles so that they reach the jack under the Jeep, then use the 'L' shaped tire iron as a wrench on the other end.

That is exactly right. And Stereosour, instructions for how to use your Jack and its tools are in your owner's manual. Maybe a good thing to check it all out today before you actually need to use them.

Yeah. Sometimes I forget about that nifty book in the glovebox.
I'll get out there tomorrow after work and try it out.
Thanks.
