What brand of lift recomended for a tj??

I have a 97 it's all stock and want to put a 2 1/2 inch lift on it but I see all these brands and don't know which one to pick? Can I get some opinions of what you all have?

A good 2 1/2" lift is BDS and even better is OME.

Do some research on here and you will find that one of the best 2 inch lifts is the OME. You can then add the 1 plus inch body lift and be good for more options.

First answer this:

1. What is your budget including installation if you are not doing it yourself?

2. What are you planning to do with your Jeep, all street or off-road and what kind of off road?

3. What size tires do you have or plan on getting?

Another vore for OME with a 1"BL. I have this suspension and it is the smoothest out there as fas as bolt on. Just stay away from the cheap stuff. Save and wait for something better if money is an issue.

Money isn't really an issue, but I'm planning on doing a little off-road and eventually rock climb but for now I just want some thing that will let me go anywhere, and I want to be able to run 32's I think.

Another vote for OME and the BL also have Quick Discos....you may not realize how much of a difference the Discos make until you have them......here is a Pic so you can see...this is with 33" Duratracs.

Also included a "before" Pic silver wheels.....

If you want 32's go ahead with the BDS 3'' kit. I have it and am very pleased. I can also say how much the disco's make it better. Huge improvment in rough trails and rocks and ruts over connected.

BTW, I am running smaller 33's (TA KO's) and I have plenty of flex. I am about to add a 1 inch body and motor lift to do a belly up and to give a little more room from the weight of bumpers and soon to come winch.

I have a 4 inches zone lift kit with big 33's and its perfect for what I do. Off road ever now and then and it's good for when I go off road. My lift was only $600 and it came with everything.
