What changed in 04?

I just picked up a Jet Power Module for a good price, $100. Looked up the part number when I got home, and it is listed as a stage 2 for 97-03 TJ 4.0, auto or stick. They sale for $319 so It feels like I got a deal, but mine's a 04. Did the earlyer models have distributors till 03? Thats the only thing I could think of.

I have an '04 sport myself and for what ever reason there are some things different from earlier TJ's. I can not get a half top for my '04 from besttop. Was told it wouldn't fit. but no one has told me why. Same thing for the hard top-not tooo big an issue-but wasn't aware of the jet power module thing. Learn something every day-hopefully.

Half tops and hard tops will all fit.

With regards to the Jet module, you would have been better off on spending the money. It is not going to do anything for you.

that was a waste of $100....sell it and get your money back and buy something worthwhile.
