what direction to go in?

i just got a 05 wrangler x with 4.0 6 speed. it only has 46000 on it and runs great.
im pretty mechanically inclined but have always worked on old trucks. im just lookin for some advice on whats good and whats not and what are some good suppliers for lifts, tires, and everything else. im wanting it lifted with spending under $500. i was thinking 3 inches +/- a little. also what are some other good mods? it has k & n intake and gibson exhaust already on it. thanks

hard to lift 3 inches good spending only that much but if you shop around you can probably find something. mods all depend on how your going to wheel.
