What do I do about my driveshaft if I lift my jeep?

At what point do I need to modify my driveshaft setup when I lift my jeep?
Can I keep my current setup at 3 inches of lift? I've research SYE etc... but I'm wondering when I need to employ an SYE or a longer driveshaft or a tom woods driveshaft.

Right now everything is stock and I'm ready to order my lift kit (looking at either BDS or Rough Country) but if I'm going to need a SYE or something then I'll have to wait another month to pull the trigger.

We need more info. Are you doing a BL, SL or both? How much of a lift? Is everything stock right now?

Right now I'm running 31" discoverer a/t3's @ stock height. I have an 06 tj x with the 6speed. Looking at nothing but suspension lift.

if you wanna go up 3" you will be fine with a 1" motor mount lift....if you get too much driveline vibs..you can do a couple things to fix it...put a couple washers between the bolts that holds your TC skidplate on...or get you a pair of rear upper adjustable control arms. Don't waste your money with a SYE/CV driveshaft unless youre going to 4"

Honestly ...buy what you want this time around..even if you have to wait to save up funds... good friend of mine told me...buy once..cry once.. :P

Tom Wood is the way to go if you decide to go up to 4 + inches of lift. I wouldn't do Rough Country...BDS is pretty good...if you want the most bang for your buck..check out ZONE and if you want the best...can't go wrong with Rock Krawler :P
