What do I need for a softop?

I bought the jeep with a hardtop.. I would like to get a softop for the summer/spring.

I know you need the softop of course; but I do not know what hardware or (bow?) to get and where from, how much?

I hear about door surrounds?

do I have to drill the hardware? whaere is the cheap/best place to get all of this?

thanks

You will deffinatly need door surrounds (get those used off someone if you can), the rear window brackets for the quarters (dealer is prolly best), and the soft top brackets/hardware for the roll bar(again dealer or junk yard).

I don't think youll need a header? I simply yanked out my soft top and put a hard top on, didn't have a header or anything. All you really need is the top, windows, door surrounds, and the 2 different brackets with hardware I believe.

He will still need the door surrounds and the rear window bracket for the viking, won't he? Try and find a good condition 03+ used soft top. Other than that, its going to be an expensive swap

look around locally (or on forums) for people selling them. i got my top complete with hardware for either 300 or 350. and the dude helped me install it (30 minutes) and he even included an extra rear window. great shape too.

The one I ordered from offroadheros says no hardware. That, and the moon/sun roof, sold me. The price seemed good too. Mine is for a 2 door JK, but I guess they will soon have them for other makes?? Good luck on getting your top.

where are you located? I've got an extra frame with an old top still on it. Only thing its missing is the door surrounds but you can find them on ebay pretty reasonable.
