What do you love about owning a jeep?

I love several things like

- being apart of an unspoken club
- having the sweetest ride on the road that catches eyes
- making jeep friends
- talking about jeeps with said new friends
- working on my jeep to make it better
- the wind blowing through my luscious locks, all 2 inches of it

what do you love about it?

We use ours for long range excursions. Places that most people will never see, experiences that most people will never know..

I have an '04. I really like being able to work on most of the components compared to new computerized cars, and whats not to love about a SWB 4x4.

I love that the Jeep/TJ platform has such a large aftermarket base of choices. No matter what you (or I) want to do to our Jeep someone else thought of it--and made the parts for it--and someone else copied it and made it better-(usually).

Only 2 draw backs to owning a Jeep 1. Bad fuel mileage(I knew this and am okay with it.)
2. Mods cost money. (yeah that's a given)

I love my Jeep!!

I love my jeep and i love the jeep community and the people that consist in it. Being able to have any and everything for my jeep. I love the simplicity of a jeep. I love being able to turn on a dime and park in the "compact" parking spots! And most important I love to Just Empty Every Pocket.

Now I could write pages here, but I'll try to keep it short:

- Driving an American icon that has stood the test of 70 years and that every Wrangler is made here in country

- The extreme capability and customization abilities that allow it to do things and go places no vehicle ever could

- Being part of the always friendly and helpful Jeep community

- I live in Buffalo so it's great in the snow and in the summer it's doors off and top down, always fun and practical.

- BUILT TO LAST

honestly, a few years ago, the one and ONLY reason i wanted a jeep is because i saw one drive by with no doors. i was floored by this and thought it was the coolest thing ever. after doing research, i learned that the doors were made to come off from the factory, with no mods.

now-a-days, there's a million things i love about owning a jeep. (everything posted above) but my favorite is still the fact that the doors are made to come off.

My reason are as follows:

*an American icon
*freedom
*camaraderie
*my own tastes and ideas of what I put into it
*relaxation of going for a ride with the top off along the shore

i love the top and doors off for a summer cruise
showing up chevy's at the local offroading spots
getting hit by two cars and still no damage
my pockets being constantly empty
everyone wanting to ride in my JEEP

Why I love my Jeep?
OMG this could be a long thread!
Best of both worlds....4-wheel drive for the winter and a convertible for the summer.....plus with the windshield down you get free snacks forced into your teeth (bugs)

I like the fact that I can jump off the highway on to some little dirt road and explore! I also like the fact that I can get closer to my favorite hunting spot before anyone else can get to it!

I think my Jeep has feelings and I need to spend quality time to validate her feelings.

I love my Jeep because it gets me where I need to go and when other people have to go around I can just go over. Making those lifted truck guys jealous is priceless.

I love the fact that we got dumped on with snow, our road was an absolute mess, Tree's down across the road, water, ice and snow everywhere and I had not a worry in the world about wether I'd make it or not. Got to work 15 minutes early.

Forgot about the snow. Record snow storm last year. Jeep had no problems

There is nothing else that even looks like it
The feeling of driving a 40's Willy (I find that was lost in the JK)
Finally owning one after 30 years of wanting one
In Europe it's like owning a Mercedes in the US (and I have 2 Jeeps, lol)
As was said before, the mods you can do and the availability of parts for it
And the price of parts, after I got used to KJ prices I was like...WTH, that cheap?
There is no such thing as devaluation

and so on...I sometimes just sit in it. I know it drives like crap, it has an underpowered engine, a gearbox made of silly-putty, axles that break if you look at them, but still.....I love my TJ. Every morning when I drive of to work in my environmental friendly hatchback I look at the Jeeps and I get a big smile on my face...

Nothing compares to a Jeep, and non-jeepers just don't understand. You can go more places with and do more things to a Jeep than any other vehicle out there. The horrible gas mileage is 100% worth it

I love that its rough around the edges. Meaning every nut bolt or screw is either exposed already, or not hard to get to. I disagree with the torx bolts, and the lack of anti-sieze, but what else would I have to cuss at?

Had a '99 4x4 F150 years ago, loved being able to go anywhere when the roads were "horrible" in the snow. I honestly CAN NOT WAIT for snow and this Jeep, I'm gonna be like a kid, wanting to go out and play. I want inches upon inches of white stuff this year!

Way back in 1992, I spotted a Jeep Wrangler on Sanibel Island, Florida, with no doors or top on it. I never had even considered buying a Jeep prior to that "magic moment." But after I saw the Wrangler (did YJ's come in an Islander edition because I remember it being that shade of blue?), I had to have one!

Before long, I traded my '76 Corvette in on a brand new '92 Wrangler. I'm now on my third Wrangler ('03 TJ Sahara) and have never looked back.
