What front bumper do I have, and other questions...

Hi All, I'm in the UK, and am new here. I don't have a Wrangler myself - I drive an XJ, but my mum's just got a 2006 TJ Sport with the 4.0, and Wranglers are pretty awesome!

I have a few questions about it though, as it's only done 12,000 miles, and there are a few things I'd like to know. It's a completely stock 2006, it's Electric Lime Green, and it's listed as a "Summer Special" (Seems to be a UK only special version of the Sport, with no additional badging or anything - just painted fenders, different colour choices and the subwoofer).

Main question is this:
What front bumper does it have? It looks just like the factory one after the milk jugs have been removed, but it doesn't have the screw holes for the milk jugs, and it has closed ends (built in, not end caps). It looks completely stock, but I can't find any others quite the same.

Second question:
Underneath the right-hand sill, in the little ridge (I hope you know where I mean!) there are lots of black marks in the paint. You can't feel them, and it's not tar or anything, and they don't scratch off. It's almost like black paint. What could cause this? The other side isn't the same, and is completely green like the rest of the Jeep.

Third question:
Why does it have different side steps on each side?? The right-hand side has a running board, and the left-hand side has a tubular step. Why would it have been replaced? It's very obviously never been off roaded, so I can't imagine it was ripped off!

Fourth question:
One of the rear mud guards is loose. It has two screws holding it in, but the lower screw is just loose to move about. It seems to be screwed into a little plastic mounting or something, but this and the screw just wiggle about, yet won't pull out. I can't get my hand around to feel behind - is there a way?

Sorry for all of the questions, and I hope you can help!

Thanks in advance!
Bryn

Welcome Bryn!
Post up some pics of the marks & bumper, it'll help with identification.
As for the screws in your "mud guards", heh, we don't have mudguards in the states :P But, it sounds like its screwed into a "nutzert" (see this thread)

Would love to see pics of the "Summer Fun" badging! Maybe I'll mock up a similar decal to put on mine

Picture attached... sorry it's not a close up - I don't have any at the moment. As you can hopefully see, it's just like the stock bumper, but without attachment holes for the milk jugs, and the end caps are built in - they don't bolt on.

Oh right, I didn't realise you didn't have mudguards! They all have them over here. Yeah, it does seem like it's a "nutzert". I think I'll just ignore it!

Well the Summer Special doesn't have any special badging, which seems strange - I think they're just better-specced Sports with different colours!

P.S. I'll add a pic of the marks soon!
