Angry What Happened to my Jeep!!!!!!!???????

I've been two tracking for a while with my jeep and I've gone through water and had the water splash above the hood before and my engine bay has been wet before.

Yesterday I went throughout 3 puddles and I got stuck in the 3rd puddle and so I went to go winch myself out and the jeep stopped running!!! I tried starting it up right away but it didn't start up and now its been 24hrs and it still won't start. I've pulled the spark plugs and tried starting it but I didn't hear any clicking/sparking from the plugs.

I'm not sure what is wrong. Does it have to do something with the spark/ignition system?

I checked to make sure I didn't get any water on the intake and it was completely dry right after I went through the puddles.

Anybody know what to do??? PLEASE!

Battery is fine. It is acting like its trying to turn over but theres no spark or something. I checked the fuel pressure in the fuel rails and thats fine.

so, it isn't turning over. Pull the starter and clean it. Well maybe just give it a few good whacks first and try it.

Possibly a bad ignition coil

Alright I will check the starter and then the ignition coil. Its not loose battery connections. Could it be the crank position sensor?

Try disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes. This same thing just happened to me Saturday.

What year TJ and what engine? If it has a distributor cap, have you removed it to remove moisture inside that can stop the engine from starting?

That the engine is cranking but not starting indicates the battery and its connections are both ok.

That would be my guess.

It is a 2000 tj with a straight 6. I'm pretty sure it has an ignition coil and not a distributor but I could be wrong. I didn't get much time to look at it since all of this crap has gone down. I've been at school and work.

So i checked to see if I was getting any spark from my plugs and Im not. So could it be the ignition coil or the Crank Position Sensor? I do not have any cracks in the ignition coil rail.

Did you ground the spark plug while checking for a spark?

A puddle that you have to winch yourself out of???? we need to hang out more often, those are my types of puddles!!!!

Hate to beat the dead horse, but have you tested to see the voltage of the battery?

open your hood, let the sun dry it all out very well. Use compressed air if you have it and remove water from all your electrical. Based on your actions, then symptoms, I wouldn't think you have any failed parts. Blow out the relay boxes with air, blow out the dist. cap, coil, etc... It only takes one drop of water in the wrong place to totally kill the electrical system.

Probably just water where it shouldn't be

Ahhh, the joys of mud. Sounds to me like either the TC is in neutral or your clutch is full of mud/water.

Hasn't happened to me yet, but I've read about people complaining that it has gotten in there/flywheel area. Causes problems.
