Looks like it zip tied it to the chrome insert just like I did mine a couple of years ago.

Looks nice. I need to paint mine. The flares, hinges, mirrors are all pretty beat looking...

You should be right. But I will say do NOT get rid of it. Because it is made of metal not plastic and will benefit you If you ever damage your grill. And can easily cover it.

Chrome looks good with very few colors, yours is one of em. Not saying you shouldn't bedline it because that looks great too.

Went to Offroad shop to check on progress of build, have only had my TJ for one night since I bought it over a month ago. Had to buy tags for it a week ago and they are sitting in my garage waiting to be put on. Im like a kid 3 days before christmas and they won't be done til next week. At least I have my old reliable YJ to drive til it's done.

Jeep Hooch

Finally got around to putting up a hooch for my 05' LJ Rubicon, the summers/UV here in AZ are something else. In front I'll build a small lean-to shed for stuff.

Just replaced the distributor it had 226,000 miles on it and the bearings had gone up in it causing the rotor to drag and chew into 2 of the spark plug lugs and be too far away on the other 2

You can see all the metal shavings on the sensor

I hope this was the last thing I need to replace for a while...
I also hope the hesitation is gone... I only chalked it up to be hesitation do too misfiring we'll see

Yea the only thing original to the ignition system is the coil now. So now I hope this will be the last repair for a while.... I want a lift kit but if it keeps nickel and dimeing me to death I won't be able too

Had a full day of tinkering with the TJ, a few small strap on mods, and some that took a little more time.

Grab handles

Fire extinguisher

Made mount for UHF and sand flag

Mounting my new UHF

Front recovery hooks, with spacers made from steel flat bar (3pc welded and drilled) to let them clear my double tube bar.
