That looks awesome. How is it holding up? Did you have much prep work?

I did the whole interior and grill a few years back and it's still great. The back gets a lot of sun and still looks great.
I just used one of them sponge sanding blocks and masking tape.
I removed the turn signal lights, hood latches, the rubber stops on the hood, and fender flares rather than tape around them.
My jeep was all scratched up anyway so I'd been wanting to do something like this for a while.
I always have a can around for touch up if/when it needs it.

Yeah I used the bolts that came with it. I had to cause I also have a lightbar that the hooks went ontop of and the factory bolts were getting too short. I got the reese 10,000lb farm hooks and the bolts that came with it fit my jeep.

Did you paint your dash and the other various plastic pieces?

I hear you there as I live 30 miles north of Buffalo and we've had maybe 6 inches TOTAL all season. And it's going to be 45 degrees tomorrow!

I was thinking the same thing with the bar across top of the dash you would have a helluva time getting to the radio or anything else

2nd gear is always the hardest to shift into/out of when it's cold. Synthetic fluid didn't do much to help me, except it made the stiff shifting go away faster.

No, my Jeep was already all black inside and out. I did however paint the fenders.

I'm curios, what type of trans? I assume manual but thought they use some form of ATF

ax-15. You're probably thinking of the transfer case, they use ATF.

Oh man I just realized I've been calling the nut a bolt the whole time just realized that I did that after reading your reply . Ok well now that I got that all figured out I'm going to try to ask again without screwing it up. Did you used the nut that came attached to the bolt when you installed the hooks?

Hmmm granted its been over 100,000 miles since I changed fluid. I've got an NV3500 and I'm fairly sure it used Mercon/Dextron same as the transfer case. Was wondering if a different lube would make a good or bad difference

Took off my stock side steps, going to install my new Mopar rock rails soon, if the warmer weather holds. My wife took one look at the Jeep and asked if I installed a lift kit! (little does she know that this spring.....)

Cool! So taking off the running boards really does make your Jeep look taller?

Checked for my oil leak. Gone! I remounted my oil pressure sensor after discovering it was loose four days ago. There goes my rear seal, oil pan gasket and clutch project. For now at least.

No I just used the bolt because conviently the threads on your jeep are the same as the bolts that come with the hook.
