Takes a 19mm wrench and a T55 torx socket. Then bring a couple of zip ties to tie it up out of the way and enjoy.

Changed both my diff fluids and ordered my green LED lights for the dash. When completing my diff fluid change all i could think to myself wow i didnt even break the skin on my hands for once, NO BLOOD! Just as i sat up under my hitch smashing my head right behind my ear. I didnt move for a good 4 minutes. Now i have a massive head ache.

Cant decide if I like with or without. The one on the tire rack is a 30" I believe and I have 32's so it just looks odd with such a dinky tire on the back. I'll eventually get a new tire carrier when I get new tires. Also did the license plate mod.

Lets hear the opinions. Could of washed it but would be a waste since I'm going wheeling tomorrow.

Today I put some mirror relocation brackets on Rubix so I can take the doors off and still have my mirrors. Oh yeah and I dropped my winch off in pieces to the powder coater.

I've felt your pain lol. Back when I had money I bought my ex-wife (wife at the time) a brand new manual trans gmc Sonoma and that's what she learned to drive in. I will also be teaching my daughter to drive in a manual (most likely my TJ).

I like it with the spare on. I just think Jeeps look better with the spares. Doesn't look as plain. As for the size difference, I bet most folks won't even notice. I have 35s but a 33" spare.

Full synthetic oil change + Lucas oil additive along with a new NAPA battery.

Soon: transmission and diff. fluid change with new spark plugs.

...and perhaps a K&N filter

I learned to drive on a manual as well. A 1964 Chevy 1/2 ton PU with what seemed at the time the worlds heaviest clutch. Also no power steering.

I taught myself how to drive a stick (last summer) on the 98 TJ that I now drive daily. My dad refused to ride with me when i drove on my permit so I taught myself And I'm still learning, but I'm getting a lot better. And a question, how long are you supposed to ride the clutch when you take off? I've heard plenty of different stories about this subject

Not too much. Ease off of it and the jeep will start to move without even pressing on the gas. once it starts to move, press the on the gas pedal and take ur foot off the clutch,, itll take some practice to do it fast enough.

Definitely let us know how you like it when it comes in. I've been looking at that bumper for a while thinking about getting it myself. I like the fact that it has the receiver hitch with toe chain hooks on it, that way I could get rid of my receiver hitch

$322 shipped from California to Northern Virgina. I have been looking at this for a while as well. Bought it from the people who run truckandwinch.com They were very fast to ship the item. I bought it on Sunday and was shipped with tracking number Monday afternoon. I will let you all know how I like it. It was either this one or the e-auto grilles bumper.

Today I finished updating my lower control arms.. I replaced all the old heims with teraflex ends, cleaned the arms up and repainted them... I love the way it rides now

Ok. Sorry for the randomness but I was wondering, the more positive the offset, the farther the wheel sticks out? Does anyone know if this is right?

Ive done I lil research and the wheels I want either come in -12mm offset or +6mm offset. Which one will be better??

A +2 offset is 4 inches that the rim/tire will stick out.

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/...jsp?techid=101 the negative 12 all set is probably closer to 3.5" backspacing and the plus 6 is probably closer to 4.25".
The 4.25 would tuck the wheels in a little tighter

Which one would you recommend? I have already bought one for my spare and I think it was the -12 offset but I'm not sure about that

Measure your spare and see what it measures in get the closest to it anything close to 4 inches the backspacing would be fine post a link to the wheels are looking at

That's the problem my wife is having. She really dosen't plan on being a full timer in the Jeep but in an emergency or a long trip we agreed that she needs to know a clutch.
