it's really simple...it has to be cause i did it. it's a 2x6 bolted to a stud in the wall. the hinges i bought off of amazon for $20/set (you need 2 sets) and those are bolted to the 2x6. let me know if you have questions.

I did a similar mount in my old condo, but with eye bolts- it was kinda floppy. Yours is WAY cooler! Think that's my next "parts" order

Took TWO HOURS to change my hood latches. TWO HOURS!!!! It was pissing me off soooo much.

I started on the drivers side trying to take the bottom part off (the side on the fender). It was goin good, then the plastic things that hold it in place snapped then it started spinning.... Then the price inside the hinge part started spinning in place. So the bold was not moving at all. After spending 20 mins trying to drill it out, 2 broken drill bits later and about 100 hairs pulled out.... It still wasn't out!!! So a reciprocating saw and it came out. Now I have a shit ton of scratches on my fender. And now since I cut it, the bolt is stuck in the nut. So after 20 mins of searching through all of my nuts and bolts that I have... Still no nut that fits. Sitting and pondering I went to look for anything that works and vualla!!! I found one!!! But it's too small. So I had to Afro engineer it to make it work.

Here's what it's supposed to look like

Attachment 101382

Here's what it looks like

Attachment 101384

And now for the passenger side.... It went perfect. Everything went exactly as supposed to over here.

Better spilling the coke then your spit cup. I've spilled my spit cup before, and I hadn't emptied it in awhile, that was just gross.

Luckily no carpet.

Ew, that's bad.

Similar thing happened to me when I was a kid. I was at a family party, and I had a Pepsi. We were all outside, and I set it down and went away for awhile. When I came back, I took a big drink out of it, only to end up spitting out a ton of cigarette butts and ashes because people had been using my pop can as an ashtray haha.

I changed my blower switch and the resistor, I was down to only one fan speed (high). I told the wife it was necessary to allow the a/c to work properly, but little does she know that the a/c doesn't cool very well when you take the top off! What the heck, repairs like that allow the pursestrings to be loosened for lifts, winches & stuff, right? "Honey, I'm really going to need this to fix the Jeep, ok?....."

Hahah that's funny! And I'm in the middle of trying to fix the same problem going to clean up the contacts and what not and see if I get the one fan setting back that doesn't like to work

So some guy in our local forum was giving away his mirrors becuz the bolt broke. So I got one of them, drilled and tapped it and made a bracket to use the mirror when my doors are off. Personally I think it turned out great. All it needs is some paint and we are really to go.

Fitted some bumpstop extensions on the front. I had some fender damage last time I disconnected the sway bar. On Sunday I'll be testing out the new setup.

I also fitted some loger rear sway bar links. The rear bushes were worn and were making a lot of clunking noises so I decided to get some longer ones more suited to my lift. I used some Zone JK front sway bar links with .75" offset. The supplied bolts would not fit through the rear sway bar but after some home-engineering and convincing I concocted a superb hybrid between the new and old hardware. I cannot believe the enormous change that it made to the way my Jeep drives. I should have done this ages ago already.

I sanded, primed and then gave my bumper a new lease on life with a couple of coats of Rust-Oleum Hammered black. I'll post some fotos once it is back on the Jeep.

Last week my driver's mirror broke at the pivot point (rusted through). I figured it was a good time to make some mirrors for "doors off" season.

I took a set of yamaha mirrors off my future project bike. and I found some steel L-brackets for surround sound speakers, (yeah, I'm a pack rat). I had to drill the holes out alittle on the brackets for the mirrors and the windshield hinge bolts. then put 'em together, mount, set, and paint.

I like them, they're alittle higher than the stock mirrors were, but they work well and don't vibrate.
