I painted my front and back bumpers plus I painted my faded fender flairs. I also added new coverking neoprene seat covers. The TJ looks much sharper with the additions.

Very white with a hint of blue. The bulb is blue coated and these two photos don't capture it well.

Low Beam. Note the flood light is the color of the old sealed beam ones for comparison. I did check them out one each but didn't get any photos then.

Highbeam

Not sealed. It has a glass lens. I didn't want the plastic ones even though they may not break as easy I didn't want that gritblast fade that plastic does over time. They use H4 bulbs I believe. It came with 55w/60w bulbs but I've seen replacements that do 100w. Another reason I wanted glass incase I wanted to try the bigger bulbs. After seeing these I don't think I will need to and I'm sure these won't hurt my wiring. If I want any more light I'll add driving or fog lights next.

Oh and these pictures were taken just after sunset but before dark. I think the old bulbs just barely showed up that time of day.

Took the wife and kids out for a back country drive with the top down. We got caught in a few light showers. The kids and I loved it don't think the wife was to happy about getting wet tho. We made it home just before the bottom fell out.

Alot of those rain drops are on the inside

I may have to reconsider on the 100w bulbs then.

Small stuff

I recently purchased this 2000 Sport.

It had a bent right side corner and no tow hooks. A quick trip out to Quadratec provided the remedy. I still need to get the rear hook.

I also decide to repaint the flanged screws that hold both corners to the bumper. I used a dremmel with a medium grit sanding pad to clean the screws then sprayed each with Rustoleum primer and medium satin black.

I re-painted the door handles using the same method. Didn't take pictures of the them, yet.

And, I installed Quadratec neoprene grab handles that were on a '97 TJ Sport that we had.

In the meantime, I've been doing some detailing and "getting to know" the Wrangler a bit more.

Nice looking Jeep you've got there. That's exactly what mine looked like when I brought it home last year.

Now it looks like this.

Received my grille inserts on Friday and picked up some chrome paint. Taped off the edge and painted the chrome in the middle on Saturday to have a black and chrome look on the Jeep. Put them in today.

Brought my new one home today and started to tear down the motor. it's a 97 with the 2.5L with a 4" skyjacker lift, 33" bfg's and american racing mags. has a freshly rebuilt motor and brand new tranny, but they screwed up when they put the head on and it needs a head gasket. also has a new radiator. needs the head gasket, a ring and pinion or an axle(yet to be determined which one) and possibly a fuel pump and some tlc. here's some pics of it before i got it home

Took a nice Sunday drive around the local game refuge. We haven't had any rain worth mentioning in a long time, so the dust was almost comical. Driving 10mph and it looked like the tasmanian devil cartoons

Didn't really get any good pics, but it was a great day regardless.

Today I worked on my 2003 TJ trying to figure out why it wont start!! So I had to bring in the Big guns my Mechanic buddy JJ. he figured out my problem in 10 minutes! A broken ignition actuator in the steering column the goes between the Key tumbler and the ignition switch! A 25 dollar part causing me grief and aggravation the past 3 days
