Took my new to me TJ out for it's first drive with the wife and pup. Couldn't be happier. My wife made fun of me and I was okay with it cause she said, and I quote, "It's been to long since I've seen you grin like an idiot."

Thank you Jeep.

Now to make a thread with all the dumb questions I'm gonna have because I got no clue what's going on under the hood.

It'd be awesome if you're on now and answer this quickly lol

So I'm out in the garage, got the spring off and everything, getting further then yesterday with it.

Have the spacer on, but with that extra 1 3/4, now I can't get the spring back on, and I can't get the axle to droop down any further.

I think the ramps I bought don't have a steep enough grade to 'em maybe, but did you have any problem with this?

Replaced my broken passenger side seat belt with one out of my wrecked 2000 Dakota I have sitting in my back yard. The color doesn't match but it was better than buying a new one.

And also stumbled onto a set of bed rails I had in my shed. (not sure where they came from) but I am in the process of painting them and am going to mount one on my front bumper and another on the rear. Pics when it's all done.

No not on the front I only had a little trouble getting the last rear spring

Edit actually i did have to jack the frame up slightly for some extra room to squeeze the spring in

rock shifter knob

I always hated the stock shifter knob with the shift pattern on it.

Just to give a custom look to my stock bumper. Here's a pic of it just sitting on there. I still need to drill some holes, bolt it on and bold my gig lights on top of it.

Getting ready for a car show on 31st. Bumper ID's, plate, flag, clear front marker and parking light lens. New camo Bimini top going on in a couple weeks when it warms up a little

Holy smokes, had my first lessons in improper jack and jackstand use today. All my fault.

Definitely FUBARed the day though have to scramble to save my rig from falling flat on the floor.

Man that sure is purdy!

All I did today was straighten my steering wheel out and change the front diff fluid and wished the weather was better

Here's a couple pics. It's hard to get good pictures at night, this is parked about 50 feet from a brick wall, flash turned off, standing beside the Jeep.

Oh no that's not good. But I have to ask what you did and if you saved it for any damage. Glad your ok because that could have been realllllly bad lol!

Nice day in Washington today. Gave me a chance to install a new water pump, new hoses, and some fresh antifreeze. Should be good to go... until my next "opportunity to upgrade".

I Removed the frame cover off my front bumper and cleaned, primed and painted the frame that will be under the winch plate. Getting ready to install a winch next week.........So excited to get it on and try it out. I'm sure the neighbors are going to think I'm crazy when they see me winch my Jeep across my yard towards the tree. LOL

Needed one side a little higher then my jackstand would reach. So, jacked it up high enough to get the jackstand sitting on top of one of the wheel ramps I'd just bought. Well, they are just heavy duty plastic, and hollow at that which I hadn't even thought of since I was just getting way ahead of myself and trying to get stuff done.

Anywho, then I was jacking the other side up, and the added pressure just sent the jackstand straight through the wheel ramp. Had no tires on, so the whole Jeep just went forward, kind of caught itself on the jackstand, but that wasn't on a solid surface, it was leaning through the wheel ramp.

Ended up having to get the jack under one side to keep it steady, and used my HiLift to get the front end up and get the tires on, then kind of had to redo everything since I had a spring off one side.

Messy situation, but no damage or anything, just scared the piss out me and definitely teaches me to maybe take things a little slower and be way more careful about placing the jacks on sturdy surfaces. Obviously didn't complete what I was trying to complete today.
