I would like your opinions on the blinker lenses !!!

I had a little time today to do a few minor things that's been in need of doing. I replaced the blower motor resistor so now my heat/ac blower motor works at ALL speeds and not just Hi.

I also had an issue with my left blinker would intermittently stop blinking when the break peddle was pushed. So I tried the WD40 a couple weeks back in help somewhat but was still happening so I replaced the whole blinker assembly.

Last but not least I replaced my front blinker lenses. This one was cracked : left one

So I decided to go with something a little different: clear lenses with amber bulbs

One of each:

New ones:

So what do you all think honestly ???

Nothing that hasn't been done before, but got some replacement decals, a B&M shift knob, and put on my bumper and made a steel insert to fill in the gap between the bumper and plastic cover.

Decided to re-wire some of my mods bc I didn't like how the wires were ran when I installed them. Also soldered all the connections and used shrink wrap. Guess it would have saved me some time if I did it right the first time. Had some issues with the solder gun so now the Jeep is in timeout in the garage.

finally removed the ORIGINAL softop from 97 on my few month old jeep. When i bought her she was a stock as they come, looks like nothing had been replaced. installed the smittybilt C-res and bestop safari top, needs a little adjusting but overall i'm very happy with the look.

Got a quote from the shop to:

-Replace the leaking rear main seal
-Replace the leaking steering box
-Install a new clutch, bearing, and pressure plate
-Resurface the flywheel
-Get an alignment

I'd love to do it myself and learn how to do everything, but don't have time, leaving to go cross country (2500+ miles) in a month and a half, and my apartment complex would probably be unhappy with my Jeep torn apart in the parking lot.

Total with a nice military discount and labor... a smidge oVer $1200... hoorah haha... ugh

If you pay shipping + some money for a case of beer and are on the way to Colorado or SoCal from Detroit ill give you mine. The original owner gave them to me with the purchase of his Jeep and they're currently just taking up room in my parts closet.

Stickerish.com. I bought that one and another from them on Saturday received them on Monday. They also threw in three others for free. I mean seriously, what company givse you more for free than the amount you actually paid for? They (the one guy that runs it) is a great dude. Here are the other two I popped on there. Didnt know he knew I was a Redditor.

Changed my leaking valve cover gasket. What a nasty job that was. 2 cans of brake clean and about a dozen shop towels to clean everything up. New Felpro gasket went on nice and pretty. No leaks after driving around for about an hour. Might not have a RMS leak after all, but I will watch things for a few days.

Replaced both breather assemblies. I broke the front one and the rear ones hose to the intake manifold had been repaired by the prior owner with electrical tape. Lets just say I am not ok with rigging shit up.

Then I cleaned my motor with some Gunk engine cleaner(the heavy duty gel). Looks a lot better, but still could probably use a trip to a detailer with one of their steam cleaning machines. Figured out my battery has no kind of hold down what so ever so I need to take care of that(as well as get a new battery).

Then I pulled my carpet to clean under it. What a mess. I threw all the old carpet away. It appeared that an entire soda had been spilled into/behind the center cup holders and had just sat a sticky mess for who knows how long. NASTY. All of the carpet(except the rear floor and wheel wells) was just plain nasty. The 4 round drain covers were missing so water was just getting up into the carpet from the bottom. I spent about 2 hours hosing everything out and scrubbing it out with soapy sponge. Tons of dust everywhere, rocks, money(I am $2.38 richer), trash. I hate doing jobs like that, but I always feel better when they are done and done right. Now to decide on bed liner or new carpet.

Got all new axle seals and pinion seals I am going to change next week. Man what a long day, but the sense of accomplishment is awesome.

The one all the way to the passenger side apparently doesn't get that he needs to be pointing to the street and not the sky

If you use the VHT it'll look somewhat flat without clearcoat. My pops runs a bodyshop so I have him clear whatever I tint. It looks like a million bucks after. I'm sure a rattlecan clear would work just fine though
