Did a bit of work on the TJ this weekend.

Before:

During:

After:

I'll get better pics during the day. I still need to reattach the passenger rocker. I took it off so I could get the new fender in easily without destroying it. Saw some powercoating coming off, so Dan is in the process of cleaning up the exposed metal and putting some Chassis Saver paint (left over from my tub lining project) to seal it up. He's also going to touch up a few rust spots in front with some sandpaper and Chassis Saver.

I have to reinstall 2 bumpers on the hood still as well.

And in my process of cleaning things up, I removed the relay setup for my windshield lights thinking they were for the lights that used to be on my light hoop before 'interfacing' with a friend's Jeep. Easy enough to reinstall. Oh yeah, and I have a fog light out (driver side) that I need to check (either loose connection or a burned out bulb). I have spares.

Finally have time to post photos-Put her in two weeks ago, then I was off to Lake Tahoe for vacation. New 4" Pro Comp Suspension/1" Daystar Body, New 35 BFG/AT's. 4WheelParts in Houston took care of me ! Dropped pittman arm only. Stock front and rear 44 (3.73). Rides great. Not as slow as I was told, but then I don't want a rocket !! Just my beach cruiser and around town toy now.

Used some bedliner to do my door handles and had enough left over to do my front bumper. Turned out pretty well! Also removed the chrome overlay that the PO put on the grill. Looks way better black!

Sorry about that, the rear is factory 44, the front is the standard 30. I let my fingers get ahead of my brain when I was typing.

Almost forgot, I painted the differential covers red and the tags for them black. Should add 10 more horsepower and knock down drag. Also making it more buoyant for those deep pond crossings.

I see some of you had bedlinered your bumpers and handles and such. I have never been a big DIY'er but I really want to do my bumpers and handles and also some things underneath, like the exhast and springs amongst others. Can anyone give me tips on the procedure and what to buy?

I've always had good luck with rustoleum brand aerosol bed liner. I did all my hinges and handles with it

Did you have to do prep work before hand, or just tape an area off and spray?

Light scuff with a green scrub pad an that's it. Or you could use extra fine sandpaper whatever's easier for you.
