Recently I found a stitch coming off, so the wife and I triple threaded some stitches in it and then the next week found the zipper for the windows were coming out so we did the same thing. So far they are holding together great. Next time I find another hole I'm going to replace it.

My Jeep seems like it's running really rough to me lately. I don't want to pay a bunch to have it diagnosed at a shop, but I'm not quite enough of a gearhead to figure it out myself. I gotta do something though!

Duplicolor Bed Armor? yes plz

This weekend the wife went to her parents backwoods hunting cabin. I hate the place, so I decided to use my new Duplicolor Bed Armor Kit.

So I realized halfway through my first coat I should have been taking before pictures, But I was too lazy to go get my camera. Not to mention my hands were covered in the gooey stuff.

I got a good deal on it, AdvancedAutoParts had a 20% off 100$ coupon this wknd, as well as a 50% off coupon towards your next 100$ purchase. (which I hopped all over). After the 20% it cost me 80$.
By the way Dealnews.com has been reporting alot of AdvancedAutoparts.com coupons, free pick up in store. you can save a ton of money on stuff. the store employees in two stores have told me that its a better deal than even they get. It can be used on pretty much everything except motor oil.

SirGeorgeKillian also used it, saw that after the fact
I dont have the balls to bed liner my fenderflares though. http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/dupl...avy-88762.html

Just like all the reviews say, the stuff is a little finicky, dries fast in the sun, and I have yet to see if my prep job was sufficient as Its still drying as I write this. It cleans up real well with soap and water.

My biggest qualm is if you put on 2-3 coats, and your a little "peel-tape" happy like me... the edging wasn't as crisp as I would have liked. But if i had waiting a few hours before i went for it it probably would have been fine. I just was too impatient, i had to see the finished product, Lol.

So yeah, otherwise the first coat was real thin and crappy, almost like painting with latex paint. The second coat really grabbed the first coat though, and built up nice and heavy. Online demo's and the Directions say two coats is plenty, But in high traffic areas I wanted to lay it on thick, so I put on a third and fourth coat. Every coat made it look better, I must say. Cleanup was a snap.

I ended up only doing the driver bottom door opening because mine was scuffed and starting to have some light rust from all the traffic, and under the rear seat clear to the tailgate.

Memorial Day I have plans, so next time I get some free time I'm going to take the front seats and center console out and get my floor done, as well as the passenger door scuffed up bottom. I think I am gonna do a 2" strip on the bottom of my doors and tailgate as well.
I didn't go all the way up to the 'bed rails' as SirGeorgeKillian did, Because I just took my carpet up a month ago and my wheel wells are still really shiny and I like the look of them.

Here a couple shots of the work completed thus far.

I spend 5 hours removing one bolt that is near the top of the clutch bell housing. It is now removed. I feel better. I'm sorry for all of the bad language I said today.

Earlier today I noticed my passenger side caliper was sticking so I went to advance auto and got the new brakes, calipers, cleaner and some paint

Took me about 15 mins each side, after paint. All works fine now

Got mine too! Wife and I put it on the TJ today...took about three hours all in all...I had the hardest time getting the front into windshield header slot - did you have any problems with yours?... would be great if there was some trick to it that Jeepers on this forum would share...

Soft top on!

Took off the hard top (took about 20 mins!) , which will need a respray...planned project for later on this summer....

Put the new soft top from Morris - Bestop Supertop.

Installing the hardware was a piece of cake...difficulty was with getting the top into the windshield header channel...was a PITA. I did leave the top spread out on the driveway in the sun for a good few hours prior. Seemed like it didn't want to stay in the channel. Finally got it in and installed .

Next challenge will be to put it down and back up again! LOL

Here are some pics of the finished product.

Did you take the grill off or just leave it on and spray there?

Vinyl grill wrap!

Instead of painting the grill I decided to wrap it in vinyl. It was kind of a pain, but it worked out really nice.

Watch out if you let it dry too long before taking the tape off it peels the bed liner up to because it doesn't rip it just pulls from the strength. Mine did that. I had to straight razor a everything it was a pain and RUINED the finish completely.
