Used it to stand on to change a light fixture under the carport.

Installed H&R springs and Bilstein 5100 shocks on my LJ this weekend!

And, confirmed that my front sway bar end links are about shot.

So, I'm ordering Zone Offroad solid links!

It's had a hardtop on it since we got it. The Trektop sure changes the look of it. I like it

Installed my new warrantied Rampage Frame less Soft top all by myself... while it is possible to install it for the first time by yourself, it's definitely a majority pita... even in 90 degree weather! Quite happy nonetheless!

Added Sliders to my Rockers

I already acquired Rubicon Rockers last years and I'm starting to do a little more hardcore trails and decided to beef them up a bit.

I started with 1.75" DOM tubing, cut it in half and wrapped the edge and tacked in place...

I wanted a slight 45* angle up and out with a few supports and this is what I ended up fabricating...

I pulled the Rockers and tacked up the tubes at the desired angle.... This much welding would destroy the rubber backing and the paint on the body.

Here you can see just how I wrapped the edge of the rocker and how the tubes come together...

I finished the welding.... and used my BEST friend... Rustoleum Bedliner ( like my rims, flares, bumpers and swing-away ) and gave them two good coats.... let them dry overnight and just installed them....

I'm thinkin I'm ready for some bigger obstacles now...

^^ That came out really well, I like it. I have a stock 04 Rubicon, just got it a week ago, and was thinking the stock rockers weren't go to hold up to too much impact.

I walked by it to climb into my 80 Ford to drive to work. The Rubi worked hard up in the snow it deserves a rest and coat of wax!

I installed a Body Armor rear bumper, swing arm tire carrier, attached the Hi Lift, gas can, spare. Naturally the holes didn't line up between the rear cross member (I think thats what its called) the support brackets, and the bumper. I had to improvise by taking out a dremel and shaving the edges of the holes. My skin feels like its crawling from all the metal shavings I got all over me.

I also learned that trying to self teach how to work on cars after spending my first 30 years paying for someone else to do it is a painful and frustrating process.

Drove it over to see my brother. He bought a 2004 tj today. It's a patriot blue 4cyl soft top. I helped him get the doors off and he took it for a ride. I think the Jeep bug has bitten another.

Took it to the Stealership to fix a broken automatic shifter handle and they tuned me up for $200 for the job. I'll never learn.

The sport isn't the four banger. So either it's not really a sport or it's not the same guy. Just my .02
