Just bought new MB TKO wheels because the lug nuts from the previous owner were too small for the stock wheels and caused the lug holes to turn an oval shapeisk as well as form grooves on the stock Rubi wheels... soooo new wheels it is... not the best timing in the world, but at least i can cross off new wheels for later on haha ::

Done this weekend, but pictures taken today.

My spare never has touched the snubbers and the distance was more than 1 snubber wide, so I couldn't stack two together. Saw a couple people here make spacers with PVC so that's what I did to mine. Seems to be pretty solid.

My daughter totaled her 2002 Grand Caravan and I didn't have a radio, so I snagged the one out of her van. Since it's the newer rounded style, I had to dremel the bezel. I had to get creative on mounting it, I ended up using washers held by a screw to hold it in. It's pretty solid and no rattles. The wiring harnesses are different, but mine was cut off when the radio was stolen, so I printed the wiring diagrams for both vehicles and soldered the donor harness from the van. I still have to get an antenna adapter.

Finally, I've been thinking of how to keep the rear seat belts from flapping in the wind. I made a couple of straps from paracord and they do the trick. No more flapping from the belts or the sail panels.

When the windows are in, they just hang around the rear of the rollbar.

With the windows removed:

I added a new bumper and winch along with a new window seal. Would have put new Skidway mirror relocator brackets on but I couldn't get the M40 Torx out.

Smittybilt on sale!!!
For the typical broke jeep owner I couldn't pass it up. My old one was hanging on by a thread, literally. Really do like the tinted windows, think I might tint the door windows, Texas sun is brutal
Was surprised it only took an hour to get old one off and this one back on. Not near as heavy though, figure its going to be noisy.

Serviced my rear drum brakes. Replaced everything except for the brake shoes.
Proud of myself, I only let out one cuss word in the process.

"Today" = "Last two weekends"

Rattlecan-bedlined my fenders, gas cap, and the piece with "Jeep" just behind the front bumper (forgive my lack of knowledge, heh). Significant improvement over the much-faded gray, if you ask me

This weekend, I finally took my doors off and installed mirrors as per a guide on 4x4xplorer. I rattlecan-bedlined the backsides of the mirrors, too. They were awfully chrome-y.. Additionally, I removed (read: kicked until they fell off) the milkjugs. Those things were a pain to take off! Front two each had two bolts that refused to unscrew and are still sitting in my bumper until I get 'em cut off, and the rear jugs each had one stubborn screw.

Next weekend? Either I'll finally be getting on a trail for the first time (only been a Jeeper for a few weeks now), or taking the bumpers off and bedlining them, too. Maybe I'll see about getting that bra taken off too... it's practically fused to the underside of the hood, though, so that'll be fun.

How hard was the clutch job? Eventually want to do this to my 2.5L with AX5 in hopes of sliding into first gear easier.

Finally got tired of smacking my head on the rear glass hatch....installed two new Strongarm 4249 lift supports. Took ten minutes and no more one arm loading! Bought from vendor on Amazon...great price, quick shipping! Shoulda done that when I first bought the jeep!

The clutch itself was not too hard, make sure you have a transmission jack and u-joint sockets with about a foot and a half of extensions. There are two bolts at the top of the transmission that are hard to get too, also disconnect the transfer case linkages first, before you drop the skid plate. Otherwise not terribly hard. Have a friend help you with the transmission, and bag all your bolts and label them. If I recall correctly, it's two for the starter, two for the slave clutch, 8 for your pressure plate, 4 for your transmission, 6 for your skid plate, and the four that hold your transmission to the skid plate, also if your going to change your tranny fluid make sure you have the right hex/torx bit. A t-70 for the fill plug and a t-80 for the drain.
