Today I did the plugs, wires, distributor, and rotor. Upon removal and inspection the replaced old plugs and distributor\rotor definitely needed a replace.

Worst Plug

Did it run better afterward? I'm gonna pick up plugs, wires, etc tomorrow. My plugs look as bad as the one you posted.

Well this wasn't today but Saturday and Sunday. Installed the MCE Gen I flat fenders and wired in new parking/ turn signal LEDs.

Hardest part other than that first cut was wirng those damned lights..Fronts are now turn signal only and sides are marker only. Took 8 hours to get them to work at all even with a #26 LED flasher relay already installed.

I remember that day for us too. We found out just how heavy a hard top off a jk 4door is. I have since rigged a system to take it off in 5 min no help. But yes I love those days too

The bumper sells MSRP for $399, but I saw it listed on Amazon a couple weeks ago for $300 delivered. I called my local 4wheelparts store and they said best they could do was $328 plus tax. Then, before I could purchase the one on Amazon for $300, their price jumped up to $365. So, I went back to 4wheelparts and walked out the door for $353 after tax. It's a nice bumper, very sturdy and has a built in winch plate and d-ring mounts.

What type of prep did you do and what paint did you use? Great job.

@ Mikekaz1
I sanded all the texture off the top, primed the spots that sanded through the black and rolled rustoleum mixed 50/50 with mineral spirits.
I used a 4" foam roller and a small foam brush to cut in.
I then wet sanded with 2000 grit paper and poised and waxed it

Hmmm interesting. Because yours looks great! And I'm in dire need of a paint job on there but can't afford professional

Not sure if you were asking about my wheels or the hard top posted above, so i'll just post what I did. I meant to take pictures of the last one each step of the way, but forgot.

  1. remove wheel per owners manual instructions
  2. take note of weight location, remove weight
  3. wash with soap and water using a scotch brite pad
  4. clean with degreaser using a scotch brite pad
  5. let dry thoroughly
  6. using a wire cup brush and a drill, go over entire surface area. When finished it should look dull and scuffed up
  7. rinse surface, let dry
  8. clean surface with acetone and terry cloth
  9. mask off 3" of tire and valve stem
  10. prime with 1 or 2 coats of Rustoleum filler primer, depending of condition of wheel
  11. prime with 1 or 2 coats of Rustoleum sandable primer. If wheel is not smooth, lightly sand and prime again.
  12. 1 light and 1 heavy coat of Rustoleum wheel paint
  13. 1 light and 1 heavy coat of Rustoleum wheel clear coat
  14. wash and degrease center cap
  15. tighten clamps on wheel weight with needlenose and replace in proper position
  16. replace wheel per owners manual instructions
Total labor per wheel was probably less than 2 hours. It was a lot of waiting for things to dry.

Thanks I tried spraying rattle can first and didn't like how it looked so I sanded it back off and tried the roller I think the roller, brush, paint, and thinner were under $20 and I had maybe $10 in sandpaper. So its not too expensive
