Oh the General Grabber TA2's have been replaced with a set new of BFG LT235/75/15's
(generals died of old age after 50k hard miles.)
Congrats on the payoff. Nice rig!

Where do you all get those big jacks? I seen them on Jeeps tied to the bumper before, and I want one.

Front shock top mounting bolt won't turn - the locking pliers don't hold the shaft, so the old shock just spins in the vise grips. Any suggestions? Its been soaked in PB Blaster 36 hours now

Lift the hood and look in the hole above the shock, you should be able to put an allen wrench to keep the shaft from spinning while you loosen the mount nut.

Yes I would get that fixed soon!

Edit just looked at it closer, is that a hole or just a big piece flaked off?

My 13 year old wheel cylinder decided it didn't want to stay together any longer....

Looks like I'll be doing the rear brakes sooner than I thought

Can't tell how much is there on the pic, if it's not too bad take off what you can and put on some por 15. I'm doing that now. Mine looks like that in the same spot

There is actually an oblong hole cut into the frame in that spot, the rust has made it about 3 times its size, before I took the pic all of the flakes were pulled out, just wondering how much of the frame can be compromised and it still be safe?

I'm not sure... I have some POR 15 on hand, I am actually taking her into the shop in the morning for a replacement of the throttle control, I am planning to ask about this now as well. I have the rock sliders already, don't want to put them on if I have to replace a piece of the frame...

Congrats on the Payoff.... Nothing wrong with stock. Very capable stock. I nearly put a hole in my oil pan years ago, so I stick to mild trails until I get a skid plate.
Shoot college students aren't the only people limited by money. 1) the wife, the only money I can spend is repair parts until I quit smoking. What the hell was I thinking when I made that deal. As you can see its only minor mods (still smoking) 2) kids and horses, both consume a lot of green

Drove to work and a screw fell out of the dash from somewhere. I put it in the glovebox, nice of the TJ to give me a spare screw

Not such a good idea on a shock. They do explode if hot enough.

That looks great and is exactly what I want to do but cannot seem to find dye for it. What did you use?

Pulled off the flares for painting. Of course it had to give me a hard time on every corner. One or two of the sheetmetal bolts would just spin so I had to yank the $@@$ers out and now I gotta get some new bolts. I hate rust.

Well, Just ordered the following:

XRC Rock Crawler Bumper w/hitch receiver and d-rings
Xtra set of D-rings for front bumper
2 Sets of Hella Black Magic 500 Driving lights 6"
Set of Windshield Mount Brackets for 1 set of the Hella lights
All of the LED's for the dash and HVAC
Tailgate bar with Tonneau cover
H4 Replacement headlight conversion kit.
Spending $500 for getting the front end rebuilt due to spider gears and barring going out (That includes new stump and axle housing due to a crack support on the housing)

Now time to save up more money to get rid of the 1.75" Spacer lift and get a real 4" lift with a new winch and recovery gear and that should be about it, oh wait a minute, need rock sliders to.

Will have pics when I have it completed, should be done this weekend.
