You got it. 3" hole saw in the firewall feeding into the cowl. You use the end of the stock intake as the part that feeds into cowl section. Spectre makes a kit for $150, but I i'm trying to take a cheaper route that doesn't have to use a specialty filter, plus i'm not big on the steel/chrome look.

I don't usually put direct links to other forums on here, but if you google "jeep wrangler windstar air intake" you'll find a write up of the install.

I was on Vaca this week and spent most of it just wrenching on the Jeep. Today a rookie idiotic mistake made by myself couldve turned out very terribly. I installed an HP 30 earlier in the week, it came with a drag link/tie rod attached and they were in better shape then mine so I used them and saved mine for trail spares/back ups. I never checked their tightness or made sure they had the cotter pins in em....STUPID.

Today driving down the highway on the way home from replacing my pinion seal and putting my fresh rebuilt rear drive shaft in my tie rod fell off on the drivers side. HOLY SH!T. I kept it together and made it off the road but jesus that couldve been bad. I usually use moments like this to think that god is mean to me, but today he steer me true during a bad moment.

Front and Rear differential oil changed, changed two bulbs that went out in the same week, driver rear turn signal and passenger rear backup light, and changed my spark plugs. Used Autolite platinums.

gotta love advanced auto online deals.
2 bulbs, a large container of dielectric grease, a large container of black RTV, a can of break cleaner, 6 plugs, 1 gallon 80W-90 Gear Oil, and some 3m painters tape...
$52.90

Crazy thing happened I was riding around and went to friends house and parked the jeep for less than 10 mins. Go to crank it, won't even turn over. The gauges where going crazy but I tried to pop the clutch but couldn't get up to speed. So finally got it started ( had to jump it off) and got it home. While I was going If I didn't keep it in gear my rpm's would rise. Went and got the battery checked, had to get a new one. Runs like a brand new car now Seems crazy to me that it done that

Plastidipped the fender flares, bumper and winch plate then washed and waxed her and cleaned up the inside and installed a trouble light in the back.

Went to a technical skills day put on by the local club. Got the chance to learn how to hand the jeep and see where some of my short falls are with metal cloaks, 33s and stock suspension.

I was going to go with 4.88 until I figured in my 3 speed and then decided 4.56 was the way I needed to go.
I put on TSL SX in 36x12.50 but only because I got a great deal on them I was going to go with 35's BFG MT.
I traded my 33's for these 36's. Straight up both had about 2,000 miles on them.
