I put on a soft top and then took it off. I was told that all tj tops will work regardless of the year. It does not appear to be so.

It is a stock top.It is too short in length. Also where it latches. It will not latch even with nothing attached. The hooks for the latch are too short.

I did not know that there was ever a 6 speed available on the TJ.

I had a friend from high school call me yesterday and wanted to know if I would let his date for homecoming take my jeep through the parade. I said that was fine and his date called me to set up a time for us to meet today and out of that phone call, all I got was meet at 4:30, thank you, and your jeep is so "bad ass". She is also going to fill my tank up after what a great day 👍

Painted the frame, axles, skid plates, and other misc. things. Also put krylon on the sides of the frame for a top coat. Looks great, except I wish it wasn't so glossy. Overall, I'm happy with it and I'm sure it'll hold up.

Installed a SpiderWebShade top, shout out to Brews for a good deal, took about 5 mins, took longer to sneak the windows into the garage.

Thanks guys. And yeah, kept the JK. Another year or two and I'll buy another TJ. Found myself looking at each one I drove by on the way home longingly. Will buy one that needs some love and make a project out of it.

Today...

Today I ripped out the clutch interlock switch and butt-jointed the two wires together. Yay, now I can start it in neutral!

are those sold for jeeps or is that for a different car (other people's junk mods)? That looks like a progressive spring from a caprice interceptor

I took the bezel and retainers off the jeep and just prepped them and sprayed with krylon. Pretty easy to remove, not the easiest to put back on with out an extra hand
