Thanks again Syno...

Tranny fluid still goes in the transfer case. I am not sure why you thought I was putting gear lube in my transfer case. Sorry to you and any "newbs" that were confused by my post.

"Finally got around to extracting the plug out of my transfer case. Just a heads up, these plugs do not need to be tightened nearly as tight as my SYE installer thought. . It seems that if you lay your Jeep on its side, some of the fluid will run out of the vent. I got the plug out with and easy out and put tranny fluid back in, and I am good to go again."

Picked up my 1.25 BL, 1"MML and 3/4 spring spacers. gonna have to make a weekend out of it soon and paint some suspension parts while I put the spacers in. Any brand recommendations for paint on the springs?

Yesterday. I did a lot on the Jeep. Feel proud I havent put that much love into it in a while. Started off by getting my WildPeak A/T on the mail wednesday. Alright back story I had gotten 4 brand new Falken Wild Peak A/Ts from Discount tire like a month ago. 2 weeks into driving around with them I got a screw in the driver rear tire. FML. Yeah so I called DTD and they sent me a new one. So Yesterday morning got the new one and replaced it with the one with the screw in it. Then mounted the one with the screw into the stock jeep rim that I had laying around. So now I have a "trail spare" even with the screw it was holding air. this is just an emergency tire. i dont plan to use it as a regular full size spare. anyways after that went to the hobby shop on base and went to town on the jeep and used a cutting wheel for the first time. yeah it was exhilarating to cut into the jeep. it was pretty awesome/. after 3 hours of work. the job was done and all it cost me was 10.50 for shop fees, and 20 bucks to buy my buddy some lunch for helping me. better than the 250$ they had quoted me at one of the shops around here. I mean its not the most perfect job ever, but it mine. i did it...

Flushed cooling system, replaced radiator hoses, thermostat and housing. Some preventive maintenance feels good.

Since all 3 of my ignition coil rail mounting screws have stripped out on me, I need to devise a new way to mount it snugly to my plugs, so I don't start running rough and misfiring every time I hit a hard enough bump.

I had a little bit of bedliner left from my fender flare project a few weeks ago so I decided to do my headlight bezels. I ended up not having as much as I thought so I'll have to go get another can tomorrow. Still better than the chrome though.

Installed a CB radio and antenna and then tuned the antenna length. Works pretty good.

Let my son and his girlfriend take the jeep up to the snow, then I washed all the mud off after they got home. He didn't actually make it that muddy. Most came from yesterday's So Cool Jeep Run up at Big Bear. Good times

Put on larger tires last week so I added a hockey puck as a bump stop to each rear coil spring. Cleaned the bottom pad with some brake cleaner and glued the pucks in with some RTV.

Jeep started having a ticking noise, sounds like a deisel engine. Put some Sea Foam in the crank and drove for about 80 miles then changed the oil.

Used VR1 Conventional, tick instantly went away!!

Hey just a thought.
When you start welding. Have a rag to stuff in the end of the axle tube you're working on, so the burnt gear oil smoke goes out the other side and not all up in your face.
I got a nice blast of the stuff all up in my helmet, it ain't fun.
