haha, yeah, it was just me in the jeep and VERY slow. Sort of deflected off the tire, scraped the plastic flare and cracked the flare mounted turn signal lens. Not being sure if it was actually cracked, brainiac runs his finger across the lens and discovers cracked plastic is not unlike the edge of a razor blade. lol.
Hey I cut down my flares so my side markers are sitting on my shelf. Let me know if you want me to mail you the one you need. Just pay for mail, or heck it might just be a Christmas present. Pm me your address and what side you need.

Yesterday I changed my wiper blades while I was waiting for my last final to start. Went from some super cheap 13 inch ones to some slightly cheap 14 inchers

They look real good, especially black on my black Jeep. And they equal to my headlights. But those were recently upgraded to halogens too.

Its because the Hellas only come with 55w H3s. But that is easily fixed with some 75w or 100w bulbs. Of course I will probably just redo everything with HID bulbs.

Hella does have a 1000 Rally series if you want "bright as hell". I just didn't want to drop that much $$$. These I got for $100 due to holiday sales. So yes, definitely worth the money.

They are great! I have 2 sets with HD Headlights, and I think they out do the headlights (Just one set).

Took off the ragged tube steps and replaced with rocker guards with steps built on. They came with no hardware and it took huge 1/2 inch bolts. I could only get to two bolts and the other one I had to drill a hole inside the tub to get to it that I will patch before I line the inside. Any suggestions on the furthest two holes out? Thinking of picking up a 1/2 inch nutsert for those two sides but I don't have a tool to insert them in.

After

Does this look like a good investment to run 35s on my TJ? Want feedback before I make a purchase

First snow of the season today and got to go play busting snow drifts with the new lift installed. (They're not huge but FUN!)

While it was still drifting closed as fast as I was busting them open:

I wouldn't go that high. It maybe do a 3/4" lift and 1 inch BL. Flat fenders will do it

IMO it depends on what you are gonna run 35"s for...on the street for looks? Rock crawling over "man made" course? Because the mud is that deep in your area? To get more clearance for better break over and articulation?

If all you want to do is "run 35"s" there are cheaper ways to do it if you don't mind cutting a little body off...check SparkyJeep (another member) he is wheeling with a 2" puck lift, 35"s and 3.21 gears. Not the best way to do it, but it can be done and it works for him.

Now if you want to keep it looking stock than something along those lines would probably be the way to go...for me I am happy with 33"s with a total lift of about 3.5"s Suspension and body....but still need regear and TT.

I am sure you will eventually want to do something along those lines as well...more than just a lift and tires if you want your Jeep to still perform well and be good for a DD. and work off road as well.

IDK how many threads have the advice to regear in them but it is a lot.
Just a caution of what to look forward to with 35"s.

I have the rc 6" long arm lift, running 35s. The kit your showing is newer and the joints are little better then mine. Still not top not h stuff but good for the price. Just know(if you've read on here you should by now) that there is a lot needed after that kit to safely and propperly run 35s. That adresses the clearance but your gear ratio, steering and brakes will need to be addressed quickly.

Over all I'm not unhappy with my kit. I have the 2.2 shocks and even tho there are "better" I don't like em. I'll be going with a real good set next.

If I did it again, I'd consider 33s and 4" of lift. I don't like body lifts at all but this is a lil much. I like 35s tho because in NJ all we have really is mud and some of it is pretty deep.

Forgot to post yesterday,

But got a Viper 350 responder alarm with tilt sensor and proximity sensor installed.

So far it's not working properly, keep getting false positives. Figured it was the proximity sensor, so I turned it off, but I'm still getting false alarms. I called the place that installed it and they told me to bring it in. Going to take it in tomorrow and hopefully get it set up properly.

Man I have one. PITA. If the tops on the warning will go off randomly. You have to press aux quick then lock. It bypasses the warning beeps.

When the top is on or off? It seems like it'd be a bigger problem when it's off. But thanks, I'll try that!

Ah ok. So that keeps it from chirping, but it will still allow the full on alarm to sound from the proximity sensor? I was wondering if you could do that, I'm excited to try it now :P
