also, my sister wanted me to teach her to drive stick...so i let her have a go this afternoon. that was painful. after she stalled it nearly 20 times, she finally got into 1st and we did a lap around the parking lot. then she stalled it about 5 more times before i decided my poor tj couldn't take it anymore. im proud of my sister for getting it once, but i think ill be the only one driving my baby for a very long time after that. hope she didnt burn up my clutch too much.
Did this with my older brother (3 yrs older) cuz he was looking at a pickup with a stick and wanted to learn how. So I rode around with him driving for an hour or two and after we got back to the house I look at my jeep and said "never again". But other than that he had the concept down so he didn't burn the clutch up too bad

Just switched out my nonworking oem cassette deck with a working oem cassette deck (courtesy of a forum member). Took all of 15 minutes. Almost toooooo easy. Time to rock some And Justice For All with the windows down!

How was the install for the windshield lights? Are they fixed or can they move like spotlights?

Correct on wheel size.. i've still yet to determine lift size. Previous owner did it. I'm sorting it out slowly.

Took her to my favorite fab shop to get the rear bumper they made for me tweaked to fit my new 33" tires. Checked on the progress of my new rock sliders that should be installed next weekend too.

I stopped at the road to get my mail tonight, got back in and the interior lights wouldn't turn off. I waited. Stared at the lights with comprehension of a seagull looking at the space shuttle. Tapped on the dome light a few times. Said some bad words. Decided to remove the bulbs so it wouldn't kill the battery overnight and mentally composed my post on wranglerforum.com asking for advice. About 10 minutes later it occurred to me...

Hey, did you know that if you turn the headlight knob all the way to the left and click it over, the interior lights will stay on?

The brightest bulb in my Jeep is the dome light, not the driver.

Got most of the brackets and drivers side cast cut off the Waggy 44. Hopefully will have time tomorrow to cut the pass spring perch off and grind it smooth, and maybe start welding on the truss next weekend after finishing the Artec truss on the 8.8.

And we got this puppy today! '73 Jeepster Commando with a 304 V8, 400 Turbo trans, Dana 20 TC, Dana 30 front, Toyota rear, and no title, top or windshield! A true trail rig.
