Drove 1000 miles towing a car and with added weight was 4000 pounds. Also I have an Lj and was going 65 passing every one when it snowed but in mountains it acted like a 4 banger.

I was driving home from a day of wheeling and things started acting up. First my check gauges light came on, then my headlights were super dim, then my radio stopped working, interior lights cut out, gauges shut down, then headlights went out. At that point I pulled over to the side of the road, and it died. I'm going to test the battery first, but more then likely it'll be needing a new alternator.

I am going to second the alternator. It probably gave up the ghost and the battery kept you you going as long as it could. Battery is probably fine. Just needs a new charging source. :-)

Mine got a bath after a two month long upgrade that included:
* Rear long arm upgrade
* ARB locker in the rear
* Out boarded shocks
* PSC Rear armor
* PSC Fenders
* Full hard doors for the winter
* Power door locks
* Alarm install
* LED rear lights
* JK front turn signals
* Lots of powder coating
It drives great and I'm very happy to be done with the upgrade.

Can those rock sliders be used as a step? I'm looking for some cuz my other half is short and needs a step to get in.

I know, I know, but it's only in the winter when the doors and hardtop will be on. I just wanted the doors to be locked when the alarm was set. Once spring hits the doors and top comes off for the summer.

Ha ha ha. Quit trying to justify the fact that you put power locks in your TJ....just kidding. It would be a nice feature somedays.

Not sure what brand of rock sliders they are, they were on the jeep when I got it. The lip on them is not big enough to use as a step.

The hood is a Poison Spyder hood louver, here is a better shot of it:

What kit did you use for the power locks? I've been putting it aside for a month now.

Today I powdered my Nalin speaker brackets and got them installed.

Cooling

Then I dropped the jack stands down so I can get in and out of it easier for some install stuff I have in the works this week.

Blew a power steering line wheelin. Are these jeeps picky as to what power steering fluid to use??? Didn't come with an owners manual. Should probably invest in one, and a fire extinguisher. Because it almost went up in flames when that hose blew and all that shit hit the exhaust manifold
