Ok that's the one I've been looking at, without the remotes it's like $80 with them it's like $140 right?

put the doors back on cuz its getting pretty chilly here. i laughed pretty hard at the way it looks all covered in mud with just clean, waxed shiney doors.

also, pulled off the mirror relocation brackets and sprayed em with my favorite black paint. thats been on my to-do list for a long time.

also, i got some new side-panel stickers. lol. worth every cent because it made my day.

Well, for everyone who ordered the Smittybilt compressor from Amazon, my buddy got this email today...... Hello,

We're contacting you about order #............. Unfortunately, we recently discovered that an error caused the following item(s) to be displayed at an incorrect price:

Smittybilt 2781 5.65 CFM Universal Air Compressor

At any given time, despite our best efforts, a small number of the millions of items on our site may be mispriced. However, this was our mistake, and we'll honor the incorrect price for one of the items you ordered. We're unable to honor the price for multiple quantities of this item. Therefore, we've adjusted the quantity of your order to "1." We're sorry for the disappointing news.

The correct price is listed on our website now, so if you'd like to place another order for more of this item, you can do so here:,

So looks like if you ordered only one, you should still get it !

3 inch lift and 32x11.5x15 BFG ATs on stock wheels (for now). Located source of death wobble (track bar mount) and eliminated. A successful weekend. Alignment tomorrow.

How easy/hard was the manual hub conversion?

I found some new trails and can't wait until spring to really play on them. Topless doorless and muddy!

This weekend I got my soft top windows polished and somewhat clear again, got a spare key made, found a quick fix for the broken cable on my rear seat that releases the latches so it will fold, and figured out how to get the rear wheel well cover off so I can paint the rear fender flares next weekend. I also discovered today that my rock rails are waiting in the apartment offices. I'll put them on next weekend while the fender flares are off.

You can get the no frills kit that has two remotes for $89, my kit was $59 because I was tying it in with my alarm, I didn't need remotes.

The front axle is a dana 44 with Dodge hubs that have been converted from the full time hub to a manual hub, so it wasn't hard, but it's not the stock axle.

What actuators did you use, where did you get them? Once I get the aux fuse box installed, I have that on my list to do....figure if I have the power, why not.

Good lookin' Jeep.

That's what I'm doing, no remote as I'm installing a viper alarm in mine.

Previous owner deleted the catalytic converter so I have been dealing with a check engine light code for O2 sensor since I bought it. That got dealt with this morning by running 'Spark Plug Non foulers' on the downstream catalytic converter.
If you havent heard of this trick basically a Spark plug NonFouler is a way to space your O2 sensor away from your exhaust gases. It tricks the computer into thinking the cat is working properly because the sensor is spaced away from the exhaust. I drilled one of the two Nonfoulers I used out to 1/2" using a Milwaukee hammer drill and just kept graduating the drillbit size up to 1/2". Once that was done I stacked the two Nonfoulers up (the bottom one is not drilled out), inserted the O2 sensor on top of that and reinserted into the O2 sensor bung(hole).
Removed negative battery terminal, turned key to make sure system was drained, reinstalled neg battery terminal. Engine started right up but idle was nonexistent and engine kept cutting off.
Gave the OBD time to sort it out and after a couple minutes it runs fine.
Ran it about 50 miles and still no CEL.
The nonfouler trick works perfect.
You can buy these Nonofoulers at any Advance Auto, OReillys, etc. I paid $3.99 for two.
I drilled mine out on a vice with a big ass hammer drill.
I just saved at least $200 in parts and labor for a new Cat. Another plus is no bullshit save the earth hippy crap Catalytic converter.
As you were.

Changed out the spark plugs and I changed out the ignition coil. What a difference! All 6 of the plugs gap was off by a good .020". I probably could have gotten away with just cleaning them but since I just got the Jeep I figured I would go ahead and base line everything. Next weekend is a radiator flush then all fluids will have been changed.

Woohoo! Clean Time!

Today, I cleaned her up and did my alignment. Then drove her around a whil, enjoying the nice handling. =]

After seeing her that clean, I felt like I needed to post proof that she isn't a mall crawler. =]

Happy Jeeping...

KCCO!
