Re: What I did to my TJ today

Changed my transmission fluid. Reused the bottles that that new fluid came in to dispose of the old and realized only 2.5qts drained out. So I am guessing I was a little low. I'm going to pull diff covers this weekend and change their fluids as well. I'm changing everything bc I don't know what maintenance the PO did or didn't do.

Yeah, I would rather spend a little up front and ensure everything is fine than have a costly problem down the road.

Sweet which winch did you pick up. Warn is offering rebates again and I plan on getting a m8000 soon.

Do a quick search. I found all the info I needed in a thread here, but can't find it right now. It wasn't really hard. Just make sure you can get the fill plug out before draining. You will need a bottle pump to fill it. I didn't see anyway to get a funnel in and pour from the bottle. I picked the pump up at pep boys for $10

I have some, too. Got them at Quadratec. LED, so they should last a long time.

They do look nice.

Did my first oil change on susan

I did Susan's first oil change in our relationship . Used 10W-30 Valvoline High Mileage dino. Accidentally put to much and had to drain about .5 quarts out, but other than that it all went well. I didn't realize until today that the 5 quart jug is really 5.28 quarts. Oh well, she is purring like a kitten now.
I also found out that she has a K&N air filter, it looked clean so I left it alone. Anyone know if there is anything special you have to do with the K&N air filters?
The only other thing I noticed that i am about to start researching is the fluid container that says special fluid, it is located on the left side on the fire wall .
I also changed the spark plugs on the 1995 honda accord, which was not nearly as fun, because Susan kept looking at me with those eyes saying get inside me and go. Well tomorrow is Friday i guess I will just have to wait until then.

Love always,
B-Rad
