Took it out this weekend for a shake down cruise after motor swap and it ran well. Much better than the old one. Still have a few little bugs to work out that i thought were the old motor issues.

Today I got her back! I bought it used from a VW dealer on Oct. 8th, took it in for an O2 sensor and chipped windshield that they promised to replace when we bought it on Nov. 9th, and after a REALLY long story got her back 19 days later.

Needless to day, it feels amazing!

You see. I do however prefer the color matched ones from the Sahara to the skinny ones on the Sport. Now however I have the best of both worlds. Would love to get my hand on some Warrior tube flares but that is for some other time.

I got confirmation of my new winch decals today. I should have them in the next day or two. I stripped and repainted my Ramsey winch and needed some new decals so redesigned and had some new, more modern ones made.

Kenwood KDC-148 Head Unit. I got it from quadratec with their special adaptor kit. Super awesome! No splicing or fussing about, just plug into unit and plug into jeep wiring. Pretty pumped, I'll be able to listen to more than just the radio! I'm calling this Phase I - I was thinking about upgrading my speakers Phase II - and possibly adding an amp and sub Phase III.

Poison Spyder has both 'tube' style fenders and 'flat' style fenders to choose. Look at their web. Pretty good options.

I was never a fan of the 'tube' style. And if I did go to a tube fender, I'd bend up my own. I've bent and given away quite a few sets over the years. Pretty easy to do. I just didn't like the look. However when I went to 40s, the tires would rub at full turn as the suspension cycled, so I was forced into opening up my wheelwells, above and beyond what could be reasonably done with OEM fenders. When I saw the DeFender look, which is similar to the traditional Flat Fender look, but without the tube, and with 3 inches more wheelwell opening; well it just made sense! I'm very very happy with the look.

For the record I like them. But not the price tag haha.

My Winch needed that but no time and too cold so I just did some spot painting for now.

Put a set of Dick Cepek Wheels on her today. They sure look better than the Eagle Alloys :-)

Fixed a broken tail light, popped off the lens cover, to find only two bolts holding the cracked housing. One of the two were completely stripped also the one that was missing was also stripped. Then to add to my frustration a wire was pulled out of the clip.

Lights working, but need to address the stripped holes, and clean up the wiring...

Mine was in serious need. The paint flaked off everywhere.

Some before and after phtotos. I'll post some new photos once I get the decals.

The company shipped them out and I had them in less than a week from time of order USPS.

i got these headlights on mine

Installed new headlights- Went with 7” Round Quad Bar Xenon Hyper White Headlight Kit by Delta Part # DTI01-1199-50X. from 4WD for $117
Keeping in mind the orginal halogens had been replaced with Sylvania Silverstars, which aren't too bad. About the best I could find readily available at China Mart, Autozone etc...

Initial impressions:
Better than orginal-no question. Better than the SilverStars.....perhaps there are tradeoffs. Not so sure it's the light output or simply the color that gives the impressioin of better visibility. The Delta's appear to be more of a focused pattern down the road thus I seem to have lost some pheriphial vision. Will play around with adjustment which is a pain. Low beam is good except pheriphial, high beams- hope nothing jumps out of the ditch absolutely no pheriphial and seems rather dark closer. Again, I need to play with aiming them, and/or once I hook up the "City Light" it may cure that.
Installation: rather straight forward. One of two complaints, I could only get 2 of 3 screws in trim ring. Figuring I've always been missing a screw no big deal. Perhaps if I aim the headlight up like I'm racoon hunting I might get it in. Second complaint, once the trim ring is in there is not enough room to make adjustments.
Overall: I'm on the fence, having just installed them. Hopefully I can get them aimed better. For the purpose of modification, personalizing my jeep, setting me apart yeah ok they get a few points. Perfomance and Funtion: Other than loosing pheripal vision better but not impressive. What can we expect, to keep from getting pulled over I suppose they shouldn't be like DayLighters

Yea I've been looking at the sliders for a couple months. Then I ran across that thread and thought they looked really good on the rig, and most importantly my wife approved of them

Swapped out the "Speedo Gear" right before going to work this morning. Took a little longer than 5 minutes and I feel so much better because the speedometer reflects correctly now.

Put the side steps back on for the wife went on a date nite I guess a lifted jeep and a mini skirt don't work together but went out mudding that night which resulted in a busted caliper so I put new brakes, rotor, and a new caliper had blast though
