Today I decided to go driving around the city. Had a blacked out FJ on 33s with lots of rigid lights follow me around a few blocks. Caught him snapping a photo on his phone.

Let the search for my TJ on FJ forums commence. I shall have a busy night. It would make me beyond happy to find that post!

Mine sat in the drive way all day as it does most week days. I did join this great jeep form so I can get some good info and some ideas to make it better.

Lucky you have the early 97 with 3 vents so you could mount that without drilling into the body work

LBM-x2 series LED Module String | LED Module Strings | LED Light Strips & Bars | Super Bright LEDs

I ordered 14 cuz I measured wrong but you need 16-17 of these to go all the way around, they come as a string in the quantity you order with double sided tape, just stuck em all the way around and wired them to a rocker switch in the dash with power from the fuse box behind the globe box, took about a half hour.

Thanks and that's fine by me, had to match my grille to my speakers, this is the color the grille actually is, not sure why the purple came out in this picture and not the other.

Yep, i was originally going to mount on the hood, but the more i thought about it, the more i wanted to find a better solution (read: i was being a lazy bastard and didn't feel like drilling into the hood or fabricating my own bracket.) so far seems fine, although it will probably hit the hood if i fold it back to the windshield. But for now, im not worried about it.

Camera sensors are funny like that when it comes to blues/purples.

If there's one thing I'm still terrified of is finding a mod that requires me to drill into the body anywhere, its my sort of cryptonite if you will

Lebaron vents, plastidip hood (got impatient with both and will end up redoing them), took the bumps and flipped them out to have them look like little horns lol. Anything to make the 2.5 more intimidating!

I might steal you're idea if you don't mind. What do you think would look good with bright red and black? I think it's illegal to have red or blue lights in the grill here. But I'll check it all out

I'm terrible with colors sorry so I can't help you with that. And I'm not sure if having those lights on while driving is legal in a lot of places
