No worries! If you're not a rock hopper it's a nice inexpensive upgrade if yours is worn. I was so close to buying the currie but couldnt justify it as I take my Jeep out maybe once every couple months.

That is one of the upgrades on my list. I can't justify a currie system (nor do I really need it for the wheeling I do) but the ZJ rod would be good.

Did this the day before.
Excellent!

Did a quick fabrication and made a mount for my rear view mirror out of 1/8" flat stock I had laying around...

when it warms up a bit, I'll take apart and hit it with some flat black paint.

I figured a little time spent with a cut off and a drill press would be more fun than going through the process of gluing to the windshield every couple months

A small job, but extended the tyre bumpstops on the tailgate using three Ford exhaust muffler hangers I spotted in a local auto parts store. Worked perfectly with M6x65mm screws.

About 1 3/4", which worked out about right with 3.75"BS wheels and a 31x10.5 tyre.

I don't have any pics as of right now of the inside. But it took up a little less then half the space with wires and all. Its the consul that was made to fit the factory sub, I just don't have the factory sub. So I figured that would be good in its place. But I have to get in and clean up the wires, when I do ill get some pics.

Good morning all! Brand new to the forum. I have had jeep fever for about a month then a buddy let me drive his 2006 TJ, 4" lift on 33s, I never should have done that, now my fever is through the roof lol! Never owned a jeep but it will most definitely be my next vehicle. Any thoughts on what to look out for like "if you see this XXXX, don't get it!" or "you want to stay away from the 3.8L, worst engine ever in a jeep" or in the relm of this forum..."stay away from these XXXX aftermarket accessories or do's and don'ts of modifying a jeep" things like that... any advice from the long time jeepers?

I don't I'm afraid. It was for a euro spec Ford Escort '85-'95. I'd guess Ford would use the same part across ranges so something similar must be available for a domestic US car?

It all depends on what you want to end up with. If your going all out. Get a short wheelbase tj and build from there. If you want a explorer rig I think then a jk 4 door with hard roof is best. That's my next move. And my tj is getting a gm power plant Just no matter what you get don't go in debt over it and have fun building it.

Hey what pattern do we rotate the tires? Haven't done this yet. Got about 10000 on these shoes. Looks like the rear tires have less tread

4 or 5 tire rotation?

I do 5
Spare to RR
RR to RF
RF to LR
LR to LF
LR to Spare

If 4 I would do rears straight forward and cross the fronts to the rear
